The Lab Associate on the Stryker Learning Center lab team plays a vital role in supporting lab operations and assisting with event execution to ensure a seamless experience for all participants. Responsibilities include providing high-quality on-site and in-lab support for bioskills lab events, coordinating lab setup and breakdown, and troubleshooting during events. Additionally, the Lab Associate maintains lab cleanliness and appearance, oversees inventory and supply management, and handles daily shipping and receiving operations. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

What you will do:
- Provide high quality on-site and in-lab support for labs and events within the Stryker Learning Center. Some programs may require early starts, late end times, and weekend work (approximately 1-4 events weekly).
- Assist with setup, event support, troubleshooting, and breakdown of lab events and training sessions to ensure seamless execution that meets or exceeds established event goals.
- Occasionally assist internal teams with planning and coordination of Stryker Learning Center events by joining planning calls, organizing equipment, and advising on agendas and workflows.
- Facilitate communication between onsite event leads and internal Stryker teams such as Housekeeping, Facilities, Environmental Health and Safety, IT, and Front Desk/Security.
- Maintain the appearance, functionality, and cleanliness of common areas, meeting rooms, and lab space, including lab instrumentation and equipment.
- Monitor inventory of lab and meeting room supplies and reorder as necessary to support and maintain lab operations.
- Oversee daily shipping and receiving operations, including unloading and stocking supply shipments and handling incoming and outgoing event shipments.
- Stay current on employee safety and compliance trainings and facilitate the sharing of this information with onsite participants.
- Oversee cadaveric tissue for lab events, including handling receipt, storage, preparation, returns, positioning, and compliance with tissue regulations for all lab participants.
- Develop, implement, and coordinate preventative maintenance schedules and tasks for all critical lab equipment to ensure operational efficiency and minimize downtime.
- Build relationships with other Stryker lab managers and Medical Education teams to ensure best practices are followed.
What you need (Required):
- Bachelor’s degree in any field
- Excellent verbal and written interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to tailor communication style to the audience
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to adapt quickly to change
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to drive multiple projects simultaneously while delivering on established timelines
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA preferred
