You will start at Level 1, with a clearly structured progression pathway through the technician levels, supported by training, mentoring, and defined milestones. We provide full training and development support throughout your journey, including exposure to other areas of the business to build strong cross‑functional understanding.
While most duties will be completed on customer sites, there will be occasions where work is required in our workshop. Due to the nature of field service, some travel and occasional overnight stays will be required; we plan work schedules carefully and support work‑life balance wherever possible.
This role will also include supporting the local branch with various Continuous Improvement Team (CIT) projects throughout the year.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways :
- Carrying out troubleshooting, repairs, and complex overhauls across the full range of Cummins products, from Mid‑Range to High Horsepower engines, spanning multiple sectors including On‑Highway, Off‑Highway, Industrial, Marine, and Power Generation.
- Working to documented service procedures, including Cummins Standard Repair Times (SRTs), ensuring all tasks and associated documentation are completed accurately and on time.
- Being trained to use our electronic tools and systems, including Insite, Guidanz, QSOL, and ANVL.
- Promoting and demonstrating proactive health and safety behaviours by identifying, reporting, and participating in actions to improve health and safety.
- Translating customer feedback into clear diagnostic plans and using guided workflows, procedures, and diagnostic tools to identify and resolve issues.
- Repairing and maintaining mechanical and electrical products by disassembling and assembling engines or generators, inspecting and replacing components, and completing all work within quality and safety guidelines.
RESPONSIBILITIES
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Apprentice‑trained Engine Technician or equivalent mechanical or technical training or experience.
- Demonstrated workshop or field‑based technical experience.
- Basic knowledge of, or experience with, engine products.
- Locally valid driving permit.
- If you meet most, but not all, of the requirements, we still encourage you to apply.
QUALIFICATIONS
