    Job Overview

Relativity is transforming how the legal industry works with AI. Our Discovery platform - used by the world's largest law firms, corporations, and government agencies - is at the center of this transformation. We're building an AI-powered assistant platform that combines Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), agentic AI architectures, and large-scale document intelligence to help case teams find critical evidence across millions of documents in seconds.

As a Staff Software Engineer, you'll be a technical leader across our Search and AI engineering teams, shaping the architecture of systems that bridge traditional backend engineering with cutting-edge AI capabilities. You'll work across the full stack — from cloud infrastructure and distributed systems to agent orchestration and AI evaluation frameworks — built on .NET, python and Azure at enterprise scale.

If you're a senior engineer ready to lead at the intersection of platform engineering and applied AI, this is your role.

    Job Description and Requirements

    Role Responsibilities:

    • Lead architectural decisions across Search and AI engineering teams, defining technical direction for systems serving enterprise-scale legal workflows

    • Design RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) pipelines and agentic workflows that process and reason over large document collections

    • Build and maintain cloud-native services on Azure with a focus on reliability, scalability, and security

    • Implement agent communication protocols (A2A, MCP) enabling teams across the organization to register and expose their own AI agents and tools

    • Drive platform capabilities: durable execution, audit integration, observability, throttling, and conversation persistence

    • Mentor and guide engineers across teams through design reviews, code reviews, and architectural guidance

    • Collaborate on AI platform alignment, MLOps strategy, and evaluation tooling

    • Contribute to the AI evaluation framework — designing quality gates, automated evals, and production trace analysis to ensure agent reliability

    Required Technical Skills and Experience:

    • 8+ years of professional software development experience, with significant backend and distributed systems work

    • Strong proficiency in C# (.NET 6+) for backend services and platform development

    • Deep experience with cloud services (Azure preferred)

    • Experience designing microservices, event-driven, and serverless architectures at scale

    • Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, including performance optimization and migration strategies

    • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions) and containerized deployments (Docker, Kubernetes)

    • Proven ability to lead technical initiatives across multiple teams — architecture ownership, design reviews, mentoring

    • Strong communication skills for cross-team and cross-company collaboration

    What Will Set You Apart:

    • Python experience — our agent and AI codebases use Python alongside .NET

    • Experience with AI/ML systems in production — RAG pipelines, LLM integration, agent frameworks, prompt engineering

    • Familiarity with agentic architectures, tool-use protocols (MCP, A2A), or multi-agent orchestration

    • Experience building evaluation/testing frameworks for AI systems (evals, quality gates, trace analysis)

    • Background in search systems, information retrieval, or NLP

    • Experience with Databricks, MLflow, or similar MLOps platforms

Relativity is a diverse workplace with different skills and life experiences—and we love and celebrate those differences. We believe that employees are happiest when they're empowered to be their full, authentic selves, regardless how you identify.

    Benefit Highlights:

Comprehensive health, dental, and vision plans

Parental leave for primary and secondary caregivers

    Flexible work arrangements

Two, week-long company breaks per year

    Additional time off

    Long-term incentive program

    Training investment program

All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or national origin, disability or protected veteran status, or any other legally protected basis, in accordance with applicable law.

Relativity is committed to competitive, fair, and equitable compensation practices.

This position is eligible for total compensation which includes a competitive base salary, an annual performance bonus, and long-term incentives.

The expected salary range for this role is between following values:

    340 000 and 510 000PLN

The final offered salary will be based on several factors, including but not limited to the candidate's depth of experience, skill set, qualifications, and internal pay equity.
