We’re seeking someone to join our team as a Finance Business Manager in the Tech Finance Business Management (TFBM) organization to be a part of a global team responsible for financial and business management oversight of the Investment Management Technology (IM IT) and Investment Management Operations (IM Ops) divisions as well as understand technology allocations to MSIM business unit. The candidate will help develop and manage a financial analytical function that supports internal technology clients and their book of work, as well as key MSIM stakeholders. The candidate will also work closely with the IM IT and IM Ops Practice Area Groups (PAGs) to understand their financials, support reporting and analysis requests, presentations for meetings.
In the Finance division, we act as a partner to business units around the globe by providing management, review, analysis and advisory services of the Firm’s financial and capital resources. This is an Associate level position within the Business Management Job Family which performs business management/CAO functions including headcount management, financials, people processes, executive communications, strategic support, divisional governance, regulatory support etc. Includes regional, location and department management and oversight.

What you'll do in the role:
Collaborate with a varied group of colleagues in Finance and across the Firm
Responsible for and lead aspects of individual and team deliverables and projects, leveraging in-depth knowledge of Finance functional area, product and/or client segments
Adhere to the Firm's risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls; proactively identify ways to reduce risk in work
Act as a culture carrier; embody and set an example of the Firm's values and hold yourself and others accountable to Firm standards
Develop and maintain technology and operations budgets, estimates, and financial metrics for the Division
Provide senior management with the relevant data/information and analysis in executive format to drive important decision making
Drive budgeting/forecasting processes that follow Finance guidelines and align with business priorities
Strong skills in general ledger variance analysis and reconciliations
Manage initiatives to improve Business Management process improvements to drive efficiencies
What you'll bring to the role:
In-depth knowledge of Finance functional area, product and/or client segment and technical skills, as well as of industry and competitive environment
Ability to operate independently with respect to most job responsibilities
Ability to provide positive and constructive feedback and innovate processes
Experience with financial budgeting & planning
Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint including Pivot Tables, lookups, formulas, and data manipulation and data presentation
Thorough understanding of GAAP Accounting principles such as Software Capitalization and accrual basis accounting
Demonstrated ability to create concise and cogent management reporting
Experience with Power-Bi and with AI tools (Co-pilot)
At least 4 years' relevant experience in FP&A, Accounting and/or Technology Business Management preferably in the Financial Services sector, with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance and/or Business Administration would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role
