Position Summary

The candidate will join the Alternative Investment Product Origination and Development team within Investment Solutions. In this role, the candidate will be primarily responsible for onboarding fund offerings across the Alternatives platform, with a particular focus on Private Equity and Private Credit. The candidate will work closely with Alternative Investment Asset Managers, Financial Advisors, Field Management, and other key stakeholder groups across Morgan Stanley Wealth Management.

In addition, the candidate will support analytical initiatives for the Alternative Investments group and collaborate cross-functionally with other areas within Investment Solutions, as well as with partners across MSWM — including Sales and Marketing, Global Investment Manager Analysis, Legal, Compliance, Operations, and Finance. Responsibilities will include contributing to tactical, deal-related deliverables, manager sourcing efforts, and longer-term strategic initiatives.

Key projects will involve assisting in the development and execution of new investment product launches, including support for placement agreement processes, customization of fund offering and marketing materials, and preparation of presentations for various product approval committees. The candidate will also be expected to develop relevant metrics and reporting that enable management to assess business performance, monitor platform health, and identify new growth opportunities.

Experience

  • 5-7 years of financial services industry experience, preferably product development/management or related function

Skills/Abilities

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; detail-oriented
  • Ability to manage and complete multiple and simultaneous projects with tight deadlines
  • Ability to understand, implement, monitor and improve upon key financial and business metrics
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills; ability to work effectively in senior management settings
  • Must be a team player, with the ability to work independently
  • Ability to represent the firm professionally with internal and external constituents
  • Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $110,000 and $185,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
