  • Identify and resolve technical roadblocks faced by the team (tooling, environment, CI failures, test architecture issues).
  • Drive a shift-left quality mindset: quality gates, early feedback loops, and continuous improvement.
  • Leverage Agentic AI to accelerate the creation of: Automated test suites from specs/user stories, Test data generation strategies, Regression pack optimization, Self-healing/diagnostics for failures where applicable.
  • Create prompt patterns and guardrails for consistent AI-assisted test generation (e.g., prompts that generate Playwright tests aligned to standards).
  • Validate AI-generated artifacts for correctness, coverage, security, and maintainability.
  • Test Strategy, Coverage & Quality Metrics
  • Define automation strategy across layers: unit, API, UI, contract, and E2E.
  • Partner with product and engineering to define test coverage goals, testability improvements, and quality KPIs.
  • Improve observability: automated reporting dashboards, defect leakage tracking, and test run analytics.
  • CI/CD Integration & DevOps Collaboration
  • Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines
  • Build quality gates: smoke/regression triggers, parallel execution, and environment promotions.

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • At least 6+ years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role.
  • 6+years of experience in Quality Engineering / SDET / Test Automation roles.
  • Strong coding skills with Python (required) and /or TypeScript /JavaScript (for Playwright).

  • Experience building automation frameworks from scratch or significantly enhancing an existing one.
  • Strong understanding of test design principles, test pyramid, and automation best practices.
  • Proven ability to mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, and drive engineering standards.
