Job Description
The Role:

The Strategic Operations Analyst plays a critical role in shaping how our Business Strategy & Development (BSD) organization operates, scales, and innovates. This role sits at the intersection of strategy, analytics, technology, and execution, with a mandate to elevate productivity, decision‑making, and client impact across an externally facing team at a large asset manager.

Partnering closely with the COO of Business Strategy & Development, the Analyst will lead efforts to advance dashboarding and insights, champion AI‑enabled ways of working, and drive operational excellence across the team. The ideal candidate brings a forward‑looking mindset, strong analytical and technical skills, and a passion for leveraging innovation to solve complex business problems.

This role is well‑suited for someone who thrives in a high‑visibility, high‑impact environment and wants to influence how a client‑facing organization evolves in an increasingly data‑ and AI‑driven industry.

Responsibilities of the Role:

Analytics, Dashboards & Insights
  • Own, enhance, and manage executive‑ready dashboards (Power BI, Tableau) that track pipeline health, client activity, productivity, and strategic initiatives.
  • Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights to support leadership decision‑making.
  • Continuously refine metrics and reporting to ensure relevance, accuracy, and alignment with business priorities.
  • Partner with leadership to drive adoption and consistent use of dashboards across the BSD organization.
AI Enablement & Innovation
  • Act as a catalyst for AI adoption, identifying opportunities where AI tools and automation can improve productivity, decision‑making, and workflow efficiency.
  • Leverage existing AI platforms and resources to streamline manual processes, enhance analysis, and support team execution.
  • Support training, enablement, and best‑practice sharing to help Client Portfolio Managers (CPMs) and leaders effectively incorporate AI into their day‑to‑day work.
  • Stay informed on emerging AI capabilities and recommend practical, compliant use cases relevant to asset management and client engagement.
  • Strategic Initiatives & Operational Excellence
  • Support execution of strategic initiatives and priority projects across the BSD team.
  • Identify process gaps and inefficiencies; design and implement solutions that enable CPMs to focus on growth, clients, and revenue‑driving activities.
  • Drive cross‑functional coordination to align processes, tools, and priorities.
  • Serve as a trusted operational partner and advocate for the CPM organization.
Technology, Governance & Stakeholder Partnership
  • Manage and track team technology and data‑related spend, ensuring thoughtful and efficient use of resources.
  • Build strong working relationships across technology, analytics, operations, and business partners.
  • Help ensure a consistent, high‑quality client experience through disciplined processes and scalable solutions.

Requirements of the role:

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Business, Finance, Analytics, or related field preferred); MBA or CFA a plus.
  • 2–7 years of experience in financial services, asset management, consulting, or a related analytical/operational role.
  • Strong proficiency in Power BI and/or Tableau, with demonstrated experience owning and enhancing dashboards.
  • Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint; ability to synthesize and communicate insights effectively.
  • Demonstrated interest or experience in AI tools, automation, or advanced analytics applied to business problems.
  • Strong project management, prioritization, and execution skills in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Clear, confident communicator comfortable engaging with senior leaders and cross‑functional partners.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset—curious, adaptable, and motivated by continuous improvement.
  • High attention to detail, strong judgment, and a desire to build scalable solutions.
