Visa’s Corporate IT organization is undergoing a bold transformation to redefine the future of enterprise technology. We are moving beyond the traditional IT playbook of stitching together off-the-shelf solutions. Instead, we are building a true engineering-driven organization that prioritizes customer experience, operational excellence, and innovation at scale. Our mission is to deliver platforms that are highly leveraged, intuitive, and resilient—platforms that employees love to use. Where packaged software falls short, we will innovate around its limitations, leveraging modern design principles, automation, and AI-driven enhancements.

Role Overview

The Vice President of End User Technology will lead the global strategy and execution for end-user platforms and services, ensuring Visa’s workforce has a seamless, secure, and intelligent technology experience. This role demands a visionary leader who can harness emerging technologies—including Generative AI (GenAI), automation, and open extensible platforms—to deliver transformative solutions that scale globally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership
    • Define and execute the global End User Technology strategy, integrating AI-driven capabilities to enhance productivity, personalization, and support.
    • Champion a customer-first approach, ensuring platforms deliver exceptional user experience and operational resilience.
  • Innovation & AI Integration
    • Drive adoption of Generative AI and advanced automation for self-service, predictive support, and intelligent workflows.
    • Explore and implement AI-powered analytics for proactive monitoring, cost optimization, and capacity forecasting.
  • Operational Excellence
    • Ensure the resiliency, security, and scalability of corporate IT services through continuous automation and intelligent monitoring.
    • Oversee risk management, identity and access controls, compliance, and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Organizational Transformation
    • Foster a culture of agility, innovation, and collaboration across global teams and business partners.
    • Develop and mentor high-performing teams, building deep engineering expertise and leadership capability.
  • Technology Governance
    • Establish standards and governance for technology acquisitions and integrations, ensuring stability and risk mitigation.
    • Align global vendor strategy and network architecture with long-term business objectives.
  • Financial & Performance Management
    • Manage budgets, forecasts, and cost optimization initiatives while evaluating emerging technologies for strategic advantage.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
• 12+ years of work experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 10+ years with an advanced degree (e.g., Master’s/MBA/JD/MD), or 8+ years with a PhD.

Preferred Qualifications
• 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in enterprise IT, including managing globally distributed teams within a Fortune 500 organization.
• Proven track record of leading large-scale IT transformations, with emphasis on end-user experience, AI-driven innovation, and automation.
• Deep expertise in multi-OS environments (Windows, macOS, Linux, Mobile) and workstation hardware ecosystems.
• Strong understanding of enterprise networking (LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi), voice/video collaboration platforms, and cloud-based productivity solutions.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft, Cisco, and other enterprise-grade technologies, complemented by knowledge of open extensible platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to integrate Generative AI and automation into end-user services for predictive support, self-service, and intelligent workflows.
• Solid grasp of cybersecurity principles, identity and access management, and compliance frameworks (ITIL, COBIT, ISO27001/27002).
• Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to build and mentor high-performing engineering teams.
• Exceptional communication skills—able to translate complex technical concepts into clear business outcomes for executive stakeholders.
• Experience in strategic vendor management, global technology governance, and cost optimization.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, ITIL, Six Sigma, and modern DevOps practices.
