DESCRIPTION
Job Summary:
Performs routine building maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and property structures. Assists in a wide variety of maintenance activities; addresses immediate operational and/or safety concerns; and ensures that tools, materials and vehicles are maintained in good working order. Performs activities under direct supervision.

Key Responsibilities:
- Maintains safe work habits and actions in all aspects of daily tasks, evaluating reactive work for safety issues and planning projects to address safety concerns.
- Utilizes software to track, assign, and prioritize reactive, planned, preventative, and predictive maintenance work, including building management systems.
- Orders supplies from various vendors and assists in managing spare parts inventories.
- Performs work in a variety of conditions , such as extreme heat, cold, and moisture.
- Maintains housekeeping and safety in work areas, including upkeep of exterior yard areas, pit and sump clean/repair.
- Conducts minor repairs including plumbing in restrooms, dock drains, floor repairs, carpet and tile repair, ceiling and light fixture installations, and wall repairs (drywall installation, patching, painting).
- Operates and maintains vehicle equipment such as forklifts, golf carts, etc.
- Uses powered hand tools (drills, grinders, porta-band) based on job needs.

Technical Competencies:
- Assesses the condition of facility systems , structure, interiors, exteriors, and grounds.
- Manages facility operations and maintenance activities , developing and operating asset management systems for preventative maintenance that use criticality analysis, predictive tools, and prioritization.
- Troubleshoots and repairs electrical systems , including distribution systems, breaker boxes, motors, and other equipment.
- Troubleshoots and repairs HVAC systems , including boilers, ventilation, chillers, cooling towers, and air compressors.
QUALIFICATIONS
Support the operation of the Cummins service and warehouse facility. Building and facility maintenance and operations experience in an industrial setting preferred. . CDL would be a plus to help with parts and customer deliveries.

- Federal law requires a CDL holder to be 21 years of age or older

Education, Licenses, Certifications:
High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
Experience:
Minimal or no work experience required.

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
