DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Logistics Site Manager to join our team for our Warehouse in Mississauga, Ontario.

Job Summary:

Directs, manages and leads a cross-functional team to ensure speed, dependability and efficiency in Parts Distribution Center operations or warehouse, providing excellent product availability and service to Cummins Distributors and Aftermarket customers, and/or internal Cummins stakeholders.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Lead overall operations of a small to medium Parts Distribution Center, ensuring smooth and efficient performance across all functions.
  • Deliver on or exceed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and meet Service Level Agreement commitments to General Managers across all business units.
  • Collaborate on strategic initiatives with global teams in Materials, Transportation, Logistics Improvement, and Data Integration to drive business success.
  • Coordinate critical support activities such as Safety, Security, Quality Management, Supply Chain, Operations Excellence, Finance, IT, and HR to maintain operational excellence.
  • Develop and manage annual operating plans , including expense control, resource allocation, and capital investment for PPE and IT to support business objectives.
  • Foster a culture aligned with company values , promoting safety, diversity, ethical behavior, and community involvement while ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Build and mentor supply chain capability , setting goals for training, development, and career planning while coaching talent to strengthen organizational performance.
  • Champion continuous improvement projects aligned with Cummins Operating System and Functional Excellence, leveraging common processes, tools, and systems to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.

RESPONSIBILITIES

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Build effective teams by fostering collaboration, leveraging diverse perspectives, and creating a strong team identity to achieve common goals.
  • Collaborate across functions to develop partnerships and work jointly with global teams in Materials, Transportation, Logistics, and Data Integration.
  • Communicate effectively using clear, multi-mode communication tailored to different audiences, ensuring alignment and understanding at all levels.
  • Maintain a strong customer focus by building relationships and delivering solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Direct work and drive results by providing clear direction, delegating effectively, and removing obstacles to consistently achieve operational and strategic goals.
  • Manage complexity and optimize processes by analyzing high-volume, sometimes contradictory information to solve problems and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Apply technical expertise in carrier management, mode selection, trade compliance, warehouse operations, and supply chain integration to ensure efficiency and compliance.
  • Lead with values by promoting diversity, safety, ethical behavior, and community involvement while mentoring talent and championing professional development. Education, Licenses, Certifications: College, university, or equivalent degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related subject required. MBA preferred. This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations. QUALIFICATIONS

  • The role may require occasional travel to the United States. Candidates must possess, or be able to obtain, the appropriate documentation to travel cross‑border as needed.
  • Experience leading a unionized workforce
  • Oversee all Central Parts Warehousing responsibilities, working collaboratively with the Parts Distribution Centers, Cummins Sales and Service, and downstream customers to identify opportunities and promote continuous improvement
  • Manage the business to achieve all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and quality standards
  • Manage the site’s operating expenses and fixed costs within established budgets ensuring effective planning and controls are executed
  • Establish the right environment for employees through talent development, coaching and motivation, and serving the community through EEEC participation
  • Support the implementation and sustainment of Operations Excellence initiatives, driving site awareness and accountability for standardized processes, effective performance, and leadership engagement
  • Promote stability in the site’s HSE culture. Ensure conformance to Cummins HSE protocol including but not limited to emergency preparedness, risk mitigation, facility maintenance, planet 2050 environmental goals, and legal compliance to local regulations/requirements

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

Base salary rate commensurate with experience. Additional benefits vary between locations and include options such as our Company Pension Plan, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, and a full complement of personal and professional benefits.
