Overview:

Are you a seasoned professional in customs operations looking to advance your career? Our company is seeking a dynamic Customs Supervisor to join our team and oversee various aspects of import and export activities. Reporting directly to the Customs Manager, the ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient and compliant operations related to the importation and exportation of raw materials, finished products, machinery, equipment, and waste materials.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise departmental activities, ensuring compliance with customs regulations.
  • Ensure proper functionality, enhancement, and update of IMMEX software, specifically managing Annex 22, Annex 24, and Annex 30.
  • Oversee compliance with all obligations under the IMMEX and Prosec programs.
  • Supervise, coordinate, and maintain day-to-day activities related to IMMEX software.
  • Prepare and maintain records of notices and procedures with government agencies such as, SAT, AGACE, INEGI, and VUCEM.
  • Conduct VAT and IEPS Certifications and manage AEO compliance, with associated software reporting.
  • Review, supervise, create, and manage payments and filing of “pedimentos” using relevant software tools.
  • Manage and control the department's invoice payments through integrated systems.
  • Resolve issues and clarify doubts regarding customs and foreign trade matters, including local HTS classifications and Origin Determinations.
  • Lead and participate in external and internal audits, utilizing software to ensure compliance.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Foreign Trade, Customs Administration, Logistics, or related field.
  • English Proficiency at a minimum of 80%.
  • At least four years of experience in a similar position, with direct experience using IMMEX software.
  • Proven experience in implementing, managing, and optimizing IMMEX software systems.
  • Knowledge of the maquiladora industry and a comprehensive understanding of Annex 24, Annex 22, and Annex 30 within IMMEX software.
  • Proficiency in logistics and traffic management software solutions.
  • Familiarity with border crossing procedures and formalities, managed through advanced software tools.
  • Extensive knowledge of IMMEX, PROSEC, VAT, FTAs, AEO and CTPAT, with software implementation experience.
  • Basic familiarity with SAP modules and other relevant systems.
