Institutional Securities Technology (IST) develops and oversees the overall technology strategy and bespoke technology solutions to drive and enable the institutional businesses and enterprise-wide functions. IST’s ‘clients’ include Fixed Income, Equities, Commodities, Investment Banking, Research, Prime Brokerage and Global Capital Markets.
Advisory & Sales Distribution
Advisory is responsible for end-to-end process life cycle support for Investment Banking, Global Capital Markets and Research with a focus on efficiency, scale, and time to market. Sales Distribution develops technology for the firm's IED and FID Sales and Distribution business units, creating application synergies across the businesses various platforms
Software Engineering
The Vice President – Technology is accountable for end‑to‑end ownership of architecture, delivery, and operational stability of mission‑critical Investment Banking platforms. The role requires disciplined execution, and strong risk awareness, balancing deep technical expertise with business outcomes. The role combines hands‑on technical leadership, enterprise architecture ownership, and people & stakeholder management, with a strong focus on GenAI‑enabled enterprise solutions in a regulated environment

What you’ll do in the role:
- Own end‑to‑end architecture for large‑scale, cloud‑ready platforms.
- Lead GenAI initiatives, including LLM‑based enterprise search, RAG architectures, document intelligence, and knowledge platforms with strong governance.
- Define and govern secure AI usage patterns (data privacy, access control, hallucination mitigation).
- Drive technology modernization, PoCs, and strategic solution design aligned with business goals.
- Enforce engineering excellence, SDLC standards, performance, security, and resiliency.
- Partner with senior stakeholders to translate business strategy into technology execution.
- Lead and develop high‑performing engineering teams, including hiring, mentoring, and performance management.
- Ensure strong risk management, compliance, and audit readiness.
What you’ll bring to the role:
- Java, J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, REST APIs, Microservices
- Frontend: Angular (Good to have)
- Databases: MS SQL, Sybase
- Search & indexing: Elastic / document stores
- LLMs, RAG, prompt engineering, enterprise AI governance

- Strong ownership and accountability for technology outcomes
- Ability to operate in high‑pressure, regulated environments
- Balance deep technical expertise with strategic leadership
- Trusted advisor to senior business and technology stakeholders
Experience & Qualifications
- 14+ years in enterprise software and architecture
- Proven leadership of large‑scale transformation programs
- Cloud and Agile certifications preferred
