DESCRIPTION

Job Summary

This position acts as an extension of senior management, ensuring seamless operations, positive customer experiences, and high-quality execution of administrative and coordination activities. The role provides comprehensive support including scheduling, communication management, documentation, data accuracy, and stakeholder coordination. The incumbent serves as a key representative of senior management, facilitating efficient information flow, maintaining confidentiality, and supporting organizational objectives through proactive planning and follow-through.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Integration & Support

  • Investigates integration and installation issues, identifies causal mechanisms, recommends corrective action, and documents results under guidance from experienced team members.
  • Applies and supports process improvements for Installation Quality Assurance, OEM integration, and product selection.
  • Utilizes tools such as Advisor , Cummins Online Specifications (COLS) , and Global Customer Engineering (GCE) to facilitate high-quality decision-making.
  • Supports engine testing and vehicle validation , ensuring prototype installations meet Cummins requirements.

Customer Interface & Product Specification

  • Obtains inputs and collaborates with Subject Matter Experts and VPI Teams to deliver accurate product data and installation requirements to OEMs.
  • Acts as a technical liaison to OEM counterparts, sharing product information, managing specifications, communicating changes, and resolving installation issues.
  • Translates customer needs and the “voice of the customer” into functional product requirements.

Design & Product Application

  • Makes decisions related to product selection, design, and integration that impact OEM performance, optimization, and quality.
  • Ensures Cummins products are applied correctly within customer systems and operational environments.
  • Validates prototype machine performance and ensures installation quality through structured reviews.

Operational and Team Support

  • Owns problem resolution for moderately complex components and systems, with responsibility growing as experience increases.
  • Independently executes established work processes while continuously building product and system knowledge.
  • May coordinate tasks among technicians or student engineers as needed.
  • Contributes to team objectives and demonstrates influence at the work-group level.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or completion of secondary education required.
  • Equivalent relevant experience may be considered in alignment with regulatory requirements.

  • Excellent data accuracy and documentation discipline for audit-readiness.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and common business tools.
  • Experience managing PR/PO processes, travel workflows, and standard administrative systems.

Experience

  • Significant work experience in administrative, coordination, or executive support roles.
  • In-depth knowledge gained through specialized training or experience supporting senior leadership.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, planning, and documentation expertise.
