We're seeking someone to join our team as an Associate in the Legal and Compliance division.

In the Legal & Compliance division, we assist the Firm in achieving its business objectives by facilitating and overseeing the Firm's management of legal, regulatory and franchise risk. This is an Associate level position within the LCD Business Management.

What you'll do in the role:

• Oversee the end to end engagement lifecycle of Law Firm vendors, including selection, onboarding, ongoing governance, and performance oversight, for the provision of legal counsel and other legal services to Morgan Stanley.

• Lead and coordinate Information Security (InfoSec) risk mitigation and remediation efforts for Law Firm and Non-Law Firm vendors, in alignment with Third Party Program Management (TPPM) requirements, by ensuring timely risk identification, assessment, and remediation in partnership with the Vendor Risk Assessment team and Law Firms.

• Maintain comprehensive documentation, including activity trackers, process guides, and control evidence to support accurate recordkeeping and audit readiness for all processes and controls.

• Manage and coordinate vendor side data breach incidents, assessing potential impact to Firm data and facilitating timely engagement with the Firm's Cybersecurity and Resilience teams to support investigation, containment, and remediation efforts.

• Support implementation of risk management controls across law firms and third party vendors engaged by LCD, working closely with relevant stakeholders to strengthen the risk posture.

• Contribute to strategic initiatives and transformation projects, ensuring alignment with functional priorities and deliver outcomes that enhance operational effectiveness.

• Identify and drive process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency, strengthen internal controls, and streamline vendor engagement related workflows.

• Prepare and deliver status reports covering milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and issues, ensuring regular and transparent communication with key stakeholders.

What you'll bring to the role:

• At least 2 years’ relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role

• Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact with senior managers as well as subject matter experts

• Quick learner about new business and functional topics

• Resourcefulness in terms of obtaining/sourcing information through collaboration across BUs

• Successfully meet established deadline requirements and display efficient time management skills

• Possess the ability to research and resolve issues independently in line with functional policy/procedures

• Attention to detail with strong sense of ownership and accountability.

• Self-motivated and willing to assume responsibility

• Proficient in Microsoft MS Office Suite.
