Job DescriptionJob Purpose (Job Summary):
Global Portfolio Services Group provides global end to end trade processing, portfolio operations and data management to support Invesco’s investment related activities. The group mission is to provide quality service with highly disciplined operations; deliver responsive support for investment process, new products and instruments; be responsive to changing economic, regulatory and risk environment; manage and deliver quality data in accordance with “SMART” data principles.
Under minimal supervision, expected to provide Security Master Support services to Invesco’s internal clients globally. Liaise and work jointly with team members in global locations (Hong Kong, London, Toronto, and Houston) to provide 6x24 coverage. Participates in the research and analysis of security master related topics such as data standard, data override and data reconciliation. Contributes ideas and participate in the continual improvement initiatives. Assist in User Acceptance Testing and rollout support on upgrade / enhancement of applications used by Data Management.
Key Responsibilities / Duties:
- Work as part of a team, ensuring SLA’s (Service Level Agreement), all relevant regulations are met and maintained, escalating issues to Supervisors / Team Managers.
- Services internal clients (such as: portfolio managers, traders, compliance, Portfolio Reconciliations) within Invesco globally by executing tasks outlined in the Security Master Global Support Service Catalogue.
- Sample tasks include the benchmark setup, maintenance, review and validation of security master, brokers, portfolio / accounts, and market data elements.
- Serve as a mentor to Data Management Administrator I and provide support / cover to Senior Administrator
- Provide cover for other team members in their absence and assists other areas, as required.
- Contribute to overall team progress via team meetings / ideas / initiatives / training and development
- Participate in the research and analysis of security master related data in support the creation / maintenance of Invesco specific data elements.
- Escalate issues and breaches to relevant parties in a timely manner
- Check other team member’s output to ensure accuracy, in a timely manner in line with regulatory deadlines/internal service standards.
- Accurately Process all requests and client instructions\requests within the established time frames.
- Proactively contribute ideas and participate in the continual improvement initiatives within Data Management
- Provide support on Pricing, corporate actions and security valuation operational tasks as needed / defined by manager
- Participate in data reconciliation process between various internal systems as needed
- Maintain and update documentation on Data Management’s global operational procedures
- Perform User Acceptance Testing and rollout support on upgrade / enhancement of the applications used by Data Management.
- Other duties and special projects as assigned.
- Respond to basic and intermediary questions and tasks from other teams independently and refer complex problems to supervisors for escalation
Work Experience / Knowledge:
- 2 to 4 Years Investment Operations Industry Experience
- Excellent Knowledge of Investment products globally is required
- Previous work experience with Reference data management and knowledge on Trading, portfolio administration and fund accounting applications is a definite asset
Skills / Other Personal Attributes Required:
- Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively with a variety of individuals is required.
- Must show the ability to make quick decisions, establish priorities and concentrate on detailed information under pressure on a daily basis.
- This includes the ability to handle time critical situations while meeting rigorous deadlines.
- Attention to detail is critical.
- Must be adept in all Microsoft Office programs, with a special emphasis in Excel.
- Ability to cooperate in a team environment is critical.
- Must establish and maintain relationships with internal teams.
- Problem solving skills.
- Ability to actively participate in projects.
- Desire to learn new and complex financial instruments and processes.
- Willingness to participate in the development and enhancement processes and productivity.
Formal Education: (minimum requirement to perform job duties)
MBA or any other Professional qualification with Finance as Major Specialization.
