DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Electrician – Level III to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Cummins Inc. facility in Lakewood, NY.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Quality Craftsmanship : Applying high standards of workmanship and craftsmanship will ensure the reliability and efficiency of equipment and processes.
  • Preventive Maintenance : Providing feedback into the Preventive Maintenance system and supporting equipment uptime and downtime failure analysis will help maintain operational efficiency.
  • Troubleshooting and Repairs : Your proficiency in troubleshooting, electrical repairs, and maintenance will ensure that equipment operates smoothly and meets applicable codes and standards.
  • Team Support and Training : By instructing and coaching others, you'll foster a collaborative and knowledgeable team environment.
  • Continuous Improvement : Actively participating in continuous improvement activities and TPM teams will drive enhancements in quality, safety, processes, material flow, and employee development.

Education

High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

Additional Information:

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training, or on-the-job experience.
  • One of the following minimum requirements: — At least 7 years of experience in a relevant trade field, or — A Journeyman Trade Certificate with relevant experience, or
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to interpret schematics, manuals, and blueprints.
  • Ability to provide training, mentorship, and guidance to apprentices.
  • Willingness and ability to work overtime and weekends as needed to support production.

— A 2-year technical degree in a related field, plus 3 years’ experience working in the Machine Repair/Industrial Electrical field

Knowledge and understanding of the NEC and IEC (National Electrical Code and Industrial Electrical Code) is required along with training, authorization, and certification in 70E.

Knowledge and troubleshooting skills of PLC, HMI, Servo Drives, CNC, automation, and Robotic controls is required.

Compensation:

Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. The final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate’s qualifications and experience, where appropriate.
