As a Sourcing Lead you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sourcing initiatives that support divisional business objectives. In this role, you will lead efforts to optimize cost, strengthen supplier performance, and mitigate supply chain risks across assigned commodities. You will collaborate closely with global category teams and cross-functional stakeholders to implement sourcing strategies, ensure alignment with business goals, and drive operational excellence.
You will also play a key role in supplier negotiations, contract management, and financial planning processes, while contributing to the development of a best-in-class strategic sourcing organization. Your expertise in supply management and ability to influence stakeholders will be critical in driving value creation and ensuring supply continuity in a highly regulated environment.
What will you do:
Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies and goals for assigned commodities in alignment with divisional business objectives.
Partner with global category teams to support the development and execution of global category strategies.
Negotiate long-term supply contracts to achieve optimal pricing, terms, and conditions.
Serve as escalation point for resolving supplier-related issues and performance challenges.
Conduct cost analysis and make vs. buy (Mako vs Buy) evaluations as required.
Support budgeting, cost roll, and financial forecasting processes, including annual operating budget planning.
Identify supply base risks and develop mitigation and contingency plans.
Monitor and communicate market conditions, supplier performance, and relevant technology trends.
Support development of supplier scorecards and participate in business reviews with key suppliers.
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment of sourcing strategies with business needs.
What you need:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field required.
Minimum of 4 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in supply management.
Experience in Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, or other highly regulated industries is highly preferred.
Strong influencing and negotiation skills with proven ability to achieve favorable commercial outcomes.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills across all organizational levels.
Strong analytical skills with ability to identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings is preferred.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong understanding of sourcing, supplier management, and cost optimization principles.
