JOB TITLE:    Lead Software Engineer

LOCATION:    1 Optum Circle, Eden Prairie, MN 55344 (Telecommuting available from anywhere in the U.S.)

DUTIES:    Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs; Perform all phases of software engineering including requirements analysis, application design, code development and testing; Assist teams to improve efficiency, quality, and speed of their development processes; Rally entire cross-functional teams around major goals and initiative; Design and implement product features in collaboration with business and IT stakeholders; Design reusable components, frameworks, and libraries; Work very closely with architecture groups and drive solutions; Participate in an Agile/Scrum methodology to deliver high-quality software releases every 2 weeks through Sprints; Review code and provide feedback relative to best practices and improving performance; Troubleshoot production support issues post-deployment and come up with solutions as required; and Design and Develop APIs/micro services in C# / .net core. Telecommuting is available from anywhere in the U.S.  

REQUIREMENTS:    Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, Technology, or related field and five (5) years of progressive post baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in an Engineering-related occupation. Position requires five (5) years of progressive post baccalaureate experience in the following: Software Engineering; C# and .NET; Unit/integration testing; .NET CORE; TOPS, USP, Surest, and Facets claim adjudication systems; Cloud environments such as Azure or GCP and cloud-native tools and services such as Docker, Jenkins, or Kubernetes; UI frameworks including Angular, React, or Expo (for Mobile apps); Healthcare Platform (HCP); and * GIT source control.

RATE OF PAY:  $145,473.00 - $225,120.00/ per year
