Job Details
Forecasting Customer Demand: This involves analyzing past sales patterns, market trends, and seasonality to accurately predict future product demand. Demand Planners use a blend of quantitative data analysis and market intelligence to achieve this. They also track product inventory and identify forecast changes.
Collaboration and Communication: They work closely with various departments, including sales, marketing, supply chain, operations & finance. This collaboration helps them understand promotional activities, align demand forecasts with production and inventory strategies, and ensure product availability. They also communicate forecast and inventory estimations to management and key stakeholders.
Data Analysis: Demand Planners use specialized tools for data analysis and demand planning. They gather and analyze historical sales data, conduct advanced data analysis to identify demand patterns and variances, and utilize statistical models and predictive analytics.
Continuous Improvement: Demand Planners conduct root cause analysis for demand planning variances and implement corrective actions. They also drive continuous improvement initiatives within the demand planning function.
Qualifications
Graduate from S1
Fluent English (speaking and writing)
Advanced Microsoft Excel: Proficiency in functions like VLOOKUP, PivotTables, conditional formatting, complex formulas, and VBA for automation
Supply Chain Planning Principles: Knowledge of S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) & IBP (Integrated Business Planning).
Demand Planning Metrics: Understanding of key metrics like, UEE, forecast accuracy, and fill rate.
Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze large amounts of data, identify needs, and develop effective solutions.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication for presenting forecasts and collaborating with stakeholders.
Attention to Detail: Essential for accurate data analysis and forecasting.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with sales, marketing, customer service, operations, IT, and finance teams.
Time Management: To multitask and pivot between different focuses.
Adaptability: To adjust strategies based on changing market conditions.
Numerical Proficiency: Comfort working with sales data, inventory levels, and forecast statistics.
Ability to translate numbers and data into reliable insight.
Understanding of seasonality and peak demand times.
Accountability and Confidence.
