The Field Service Engineer is primarily responsible to maintain professional and profitable repair and preventive maintenance service business on Stryker’s products while ensuring compliance with the quality system and manufacturer specifications. He/she delivers technical assistance at customer sites and provides documentation to internal and external customers.
Essential duties & responsibilities:
Repair and check electronic / mechanical Stryker products.
Complete annual check and calibration according to MDR on customer site.
Utilize software and technological tools to maintain proper records, access technical information.
Assist the regulatory affairs department / customer to action product recalls, field safety notices and field action notices.
Fulfil Service contracts with planned maintenances.
Delivery of technical Training to internal & external.
Perform Installation of Stryker systems on customer site.
Perform Software & Hardware Upgrades.
Efficient and thorough documentation of service activities for internal and external reference.
Ensure traceability of all field-based Stryker products through reporting tools.
Provide technical support to Internal and external customers.
Escalade opportunities and issues appropriate team meetings.
Ensure excellent follow-up on all customer-initiated issues.
Ensure service provided is invoiced if not under warranty.
Scheduling of Customer visits in cooperation with Customer service.
Required to lift equipment up to 20 Kg.
Your profile:
Educated to degree level in engineering electronics and camera technology or equivalent, at least one of the following:
- Electrical / Electronic / Telecommunications / Mechanical / Software
- Medical PhysicsUp to 1 year experience in medical electronics, combined with good mechanical skills (preferred).
Up to 1 year experience in the hospital environment and health care work (preferred).
IT experience on administrative and technical level.
Valid Dutch drivers license.
Experience and ability to build relationship with internal & external customers to drive brand loyalty.
Must be capable of working in a varied range of scenarios including the workshop, hospitals, and theatres.
Your skills:
Fluency in both spoken and written (technical and medical) English and Dutch.
Adequate IT-knowledge (Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes, MFG/Pro, PS3, Outlook).
Must have the ability to prioritize work and manage stress.
Must possess unwavering ethics & integrity in a competitive and demanding work environment.
Must have a service- and quality-oriented mindset.
Ability to think independently, use sound judgment, prioritize, make quick decisions and problem-solve.
Ability to communicate effectively and work both independently and as part of a team on assignments.
Travels will be a regular occurrence within the Utrecht Central region
