We are seeking a highly motivated Generative AI Product Owner to support the development and rollout of cutting-edge AI-driven products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product management, with demonstrated experience working within a Wealth Management business or directly with Financial Advisor teams. Candidates should bring a deep understanding of how WM practices are operationalized — particularly in client service, practice management, and business efficiency — and be able to translate that knowledge into scalable, AI-powered solutions.
This role requires flexibility, creativity in problem solving, and the ability to identify and implement operational efficiencies that improve both advisor and client experiences. Success in this position requires diligence, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset to work effectively with cross-functional partners and subject matter experts

Wealth Management (WM) Platforms manages industry-leading platforms, across all WM channels and client segments, to provide a unified digital experience, unlock growth, and deliver efficiencies for Advisors, Clients, and Institutions. WM Platforms consists of ten sub-teams including: Field Experience & Platforms, Digital Client Experience & Platforms, Workplace Platforms, Automation & Workflow, Digital Trading & Investing, Generative AI, UX Design & Research, Strategy & Execution, WM Platforms Risk, and the Chief Operating Office.
The Wealth Management GenAI Team is a dynamic and innovative department that serves as a center of AI enablement across Wealth Management. The team is responsible for deploying advanced tools, platforms, and solutions that utilize generative artificial intelligence to optimize business processes. We oversee content creation, management, and governance to ensure the highest content quality for our AI system to utilize. The team is committed to fostering a culture of continuous learning and evolution in this rapidly changing space.
What you’ll do in the role:
- Execute on product vision and strategy for generative AI tools, with emphasis on Wealth Management and Financial Advisor use cases.
- Partner with FA teams and WM stakeholders to identify pain points, operational challenges, and opportunities for AI-enabled efficiency, related to these products, to inform subsequent enhancements.
- Drive formulation of project plans, product positioning, and go-to-market strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including Technology, Legal, Risk, Compliance, UX, and business teams across the firm.
- Support management of the full product lifecycle — from ideation through development, launch, and iteration.
- Apply agile methodologies to manage project timelines, resources, and risks effectively.
- Coordinate development of comprehensive test plans; actively participate in testing to identify, document, and resolve potential issues.
- Support planning and execution of product launch activities in collaboration with business and support teams.
Experience Required:
- Minimum 5 years product management experience.
- Experience as a Product Owner or Business Analyst, preferably in financial services, owning and delivering enterprise-scale products within a regulated financial services environment.
- Direct experience working with Wealth Management businesses, Financial Advisor teams, or operationalizing WM practice management and client service.
- Experience in handling user feedback, pilot testing, product support, and driving technology adoption strategies.
Skills Required:
- Demonstrated ability to translate Wealth Management business workflows into scalable platform capabilities and AI-enabled solutions.
- Strong understanding of Agile SDLC methodologies and project management tools.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach.
- Creative problem-solving ability with a focus on operational efficiency and technology-enabled solutions.
- Strong diligence, detail orientation, and a proactive mindset in driving results.
- Self-starter with a drive and demonstrated ability to identify and solve critical problems and achieve stretch goals
- Familiarity with AI and emerging technologies is highly preferred.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $85,000 and $140,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
