Your Team
As the Senior Manager within the Corporate Functions Data Governance team, you support and guide a global set of business and technology partners across Finance, HR, Legal, Strategy, and other Corporate Functions. You work closely with the GIDS (Global Invesco Data Services) team to strengthen data governance practices, promote a culture of data excellence, and ensure consistent adoption of metadata and data quality standards across the enterprise. You do not manage direct reports but provide leadership, oversight, and enablement to a distributed team of data professionals and stakeholders.
Your Role
- In this role, you lead the processes, frameworks, and tools that ensure the quality, integrity, and usability of metadata and data quality rules across Corporate Functions.
- You serve as the subject matter expert for metadata, taxonomy, and the Informatica Data Quality and Metadata tools.
- Your responsibilities include developing and enforcing governance processes, producing usage and quality metrics, partnering with global teams, assigning and overseeing work for team members, enabling project and BAU teams, and championing data governance best practices across the organization.
- You also coach team members, ensure continuity during peak workload periods, and help drive a strong data culture within Invesco.
The Experience You Bring
- 8–12 years of experience in data-focused roles, ideally within financial services.
- Strong background in data governance, metadata, taxonomy management, and data quality practices.
- Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to guide, mentor, and develop team members.
- Deep knowledge of data modelling, data entities, and data lineage.
- Experience with metadata and data quality tools (Informatica preferred; in-house training available).
- Proven ability to design and implement processes, analyze data for reporting, and manage projects effectively.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and training skills, enabling you to partner with both business and technical teams.
- Capability to solve complex data and process challenges and drive continuous improvement across governance frameworks.
Academic requirements
- Postgraduate (PG) degree.
- IT or finance‑related professional certifications are preferred.
