Job Summary

The Production Supervisor is responsible for supervising the daily activities of a production unit or team to ensure the safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery of products. This role drives operational performance across Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Productivity while fostering a high-performance, inclusive team culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet safety, quality, delivery, and productivity targets.
  • Manage manpower planning, line balancing, and shift allocation to optimize output and efficiency.
  • Ensure achievement of OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) and RFT (Right First Time) targets; develop and implement action plans for improvement.
  • Drive production management initiatives to meet business objectives and customer requirements.
  • Maintain and enforce 5S standards and safety practices on the shop floor.
  • Champion Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) compliance, including proactive hazard identification, incident investigation, and root cause analysis.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to improve safety, productivity, quality, and operational efficiency.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on waste reduction and process optimization.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and performance feedback to team members; set clear expectations and accountability.
  • Serve as group lead for projects and special assignments.
  • Ensure effective housekeeping, welding fixture utilization, and adherence to engineering standards including GD&T.
  • Support robotics programming basics and machine operations to ensure smooth manufacturing processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Qualifications

  • Graduation in Engineering (Mechanical, Production, Industrial, or related discipline required).
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in the manufacturing industry.
  • Supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
  • May require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations (as applicable).

QUALIFICATIONS

Skills and Experience

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of production management and manufacturing operations.
  • Experience in manpower handling and line balancing.
  • Understanding of OEE, RFT, and performance improvement methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience with 5S implementation and shop floor safety practices.
  • Knowledge of welding fixtures design and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
  • Basic robotics programming and machine operation knowledge.
  • Familiarity with continuous process improvement and waste reduction methodologies.
  • Ability to conduct HSE incident investigations and root cause analysis.
