Job Details
This is an individual contributor role that assists in providing tactical execution and delivery of data projects within the team's project portfolio. This role requires the use of judgement in applying professional expertise and is expected to work independently with minimal supervision. The job requires the ability to manage individual tasks with direction/support and flag project risks as they are identified. This role partners across Stryker to create and maintain data products that support strategic priorities. The individual must be able to participate in discussions to identify opportunities where data analytics concepts can be applied to real-world business opportunities with key stakeholders. Must be enthusiastically dedicated to aiding and supporting the building of organizational capability, setting direction, delivering results, inspiring others, and developing talent.
The Data Analyst, GQRC Analytics will work with the team to enhance Stryker’s capabilities in data analytics and reporting. This position will be responsible for discovering information hidden in data to derive value for the Global Quality Regulatory and Clinical (GQRC) function, improve decision making, and build reporting solutions to enhance outcomes and value.
A Data Analyst will support projects and initiatives that deliver value to our users and can generate efficiencies with analyzing, reporting, or review of data for metrics, KPIs and data driven processes.
What you will do:
- Ability to understand and capture stakeholder requirements, timing, and scope
- Support collaboration efforts with partners across functions
- Requires understanding of basic financial concepts and business impact
- Participate in discussions on identifying opportunities where data analytics concepts can be applied to real-world business opportunities with key stakeholders
- Job requires participation in presentations and communications to the business and stakeholders
- Support problem solving, root cause analysis, identify potential solutions, and evaluate them against requirements
- Develop data models, reports, and dashboards to analyze business problems/scenarios and recommend solutions.
- Create data visualizations and analytic products, working with global process owners to establish the requirements of the business.
- Develop and maintain automated reporting solutions for leadership.
- Prepare and distribute scheduled business reports and ad hoc solutions.
- Design and implement automated reporting dashboards to track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) across multiple segments of the business.
- Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintaining databases
What you need:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Data Science, Computer Information Systems, or similar technical degree preferred
- Competent in least one programming language central to data analytics (e.g. SQL, Python, R, DAX, M Query)
- Familiar and some experience with data transformation and cleansing concepts as well as relational database and data modeling concepts.
- Familiar with data governance concepts including the need for documented definitions, calculations, sources, lineage, etc.
- Familiarity and some experience with business intelligence and visualization/analytics platforms (e.g. Power BI, Tableau)
