Job Description

You will be the core driver of strategic, profitable, and long-term growth for the Solutions Group (SG) in Latin America, focusing on Apparel, Footwear, Food, and Logistics. This role demands full commercial ownership and leadership.

  • Lead the Vision: Execute the SG commercial strategy and champion performance across the region.

  • Drive C-Level Partnerships: Personally engage with C-Suite customers to develop strategic partnerships and ensure top-line expansion.

  • Ensure End-to-End Delivery: Integrate cross-functionally and cross-regionally to meet client commitments.

YOUR CORE RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE

1. Strategic Commercial Leadership

  • Develop and execute the comprehensive commercial strategy for Latin America, in alignment with global and regional goals.

  • Maintain a deep understanding of market trends, customer needs, and competitive forces.

  • Prepare and communicate aggressive annual and multi-year revenue plans to deliver sustained growth objectives.

2. Team Management and Development

  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing commercial team focused on revenue growth.

  • Set clear sales targets, execute sales plans, and provide consistent coaching.

  • Proactively monitor team performance and support career development goals.

3. Commercial Excellence and Innovation

  • Lead the full adoption of Commercial Excellence principles (segmentation, go-to-market strategy, sales enablement).

  • Establish critical tracking metrics (profitability, pipeline vitality) and ensure target attainment.

  • Partner with Operations and Supply Chain to ensure optimal quality and cost delivery.

  • Act as a Change Champion to unlock the full Avery Dennison value proposition, innovating the portfolio and driving digital transformation for an enhanced customer experience.

 


Qualifications

WHAT WE WILL BE LOOKING FOR IN YOU

  • Bachelor's degree, MBA or equivalent preferred 

  • 10+ years of successful commercial & business management or related experience in retail/general merchandising, preferably from a global MNCs with a strong emphasis on sales and business development, apparel industry experience is preferred.

  • Proven track record of building relationships at the executive level

  • Experience managing in a complex business ecosystem 

  • Progressive people leadership, including a cross-functional team management, prefer experience in Japan and understand the Japan retail/food/logistics market 

  • Demonstrated successful in a commercial position that involved negotiating complex transactions with upper-level management, or similar experience

  • Strategic mindset and ability to lay down the specific country related to go to market strategy 

  • Very fluent in English  (speaking and writing) 

  • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally when needed
