DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a skilled technician to complete our team in Edmonton, Alberta.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Apply high standards of workmanship and craftsmanship.
- Performs work in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals and specifications using various tools, measuring and testing instruments.
- Deliver fully proficient performing skilled activities expected by their roles in accordance with defined roles and responsibilities.
- Maintain clean and orderly work area, including routine housekeeping and machine cleaning tasks.
- Perform other miscellaneous duties as required to meet production goals.
- Participate actively with local Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) teams in ways to improve quality, safety, process, material flow, and employee development.
RESPONSIBILITIES
In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:
Education, Licenses, Certifications:
- Heavy duty certification- OFF road is mandatory for this role.
- This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience:
- Experience with high horsepower engines an asset
- Engine rebuilding experience an asset
- Requires some work experience or intermediate level knowledge obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.
About the role:
- Working hours are Monday-Friday 7h00am to 3h30pm.
- Unionized environment.
- Salary starts at 48.32$ hourly as per current CBA.
- In this role you will maintain proper documentation and ensure quality standards are consistently met.
- Disassemble, clean, inspect, assemble and test high horsepower engines and haul truck modules.
- Adhering to comprehensive safety programs and policies.
- Operating and maintaining shop equipment as necessary.
