We are seeking someone to join our team as a Director in Legal & Compliance Division. In this role you will work with the wider Operational Mapping, SPRL business & Technology to drive the maturation of our SPRL. In the Legal & Compliance division, we assist the Firm in achieving its business objectives by facilitating and overseeing the Firm’s management of legal, regulatory and franchise risk. This is a Director level position as a Product Owner in SPRL (Strategic Process Relationship Library) is a central framework for mapping inter-affiliate services, business processes, and supporting technology to meet regulatory and resilience requirements. It underpins programs like Recovery & Resolution Planning (RRP) and Business Continuity Management (BCM). The primary function of the SRPL Product Owner Director is to support SPRL operations from Mumbai through data authoring and quality assurance, managing releases and UI migrations, and defining process relationships. The role includes integrating RRP functionality, handling entitlement models, coordinating with vendors for backlog and UAT, and driving governance and scrum sessions for enhancements and migrations. Acts as liaison between technology partners and business users, serving as product owner for SPRL.

What you'll do in the role:

  • Full ownership of the SPRL application and its transition from legacy tools like SWORD

  • Capture business requirements from stakeholders and translate them into detailed user stories for developers. Drive UX planning, prototype workflows (e.g., Operational Dependencies), and finalize Figma designs for new features

  • Facilitate feedback sessions with stakeholders to incorporate pain points into design improvements. Present work efficiently to SPRL stakeholders and lead demos for working groups

  • Maintain and enhance SPRL's strategic data model, ensuring integration with other systems like SWORD, KBS, and Process Registry. Support initiatives such as Recovery & Resolution Planning (RRP) and Business Continuity Management through SPRL data authoring

  • Handle entitlement models, reference data updates, and change management workflows impacting SPRL data elements

  • Enable integrated capabilities across assessment programs to reduce duplication and improve data quality. Coordinate with Firm Resilience, Treasury, and Third-Party Program Management teams for broader operational mapping objectives

  • Lead and develop a team of 2-3 members, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management to ensure delivery excellence

What you'll bring to the role:

  • 5+ years of working experience in international financial institutions or consulting firms.

  • Bachelor's degree required; economics, finance, business, or another analytical discipline preferred. Master's degree is a plus

  • Cross-discipline and geographical stakeholder management with commensurate experience

  • Strong Agile product management experience (backlog prioritisation, user stories, sprint planning). Familiarity with Jira for workflow and backlog management

  • Experience with UX tools (e.g., Figma) for workflow design and prototyping

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder engagement and senior management presentations

  • Logical thinking, problem solving and ability to analyze complex data and convert to meaningful risk reporting. Detail oriented

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint

  • Familiarity with SQL and Jira

  • Self-motivated with an ability to work independently and think creatively
