- Lead the development, qualification, and optimization of injection molding processes, including tooling, process development, and validation activities.
- Collaborate with external suppliers and equipment vendors to ensure technical alignment, risk mitigation, and on-time delivery of qualified processes.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation such as process specifications, validation protocols, control plans, and risk assessments.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturability, compliance, and successful product transfers.
- Apply statistical tools and methodologies to monitor process capability, improve performance, and ensure data integrity.
- Support measurement system selection, validation, and analysis, including Gage R&R and dimensional inspection strategies.
- Provide design for manufacturability input using CAD tools, including part design, gating, tolerances, and material considerations.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, quality, and safety standards in all manufacturing processes.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Plastics Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in injection molding manufacturing processes.
- Experience with process validation, statistical tools (SPC, DOE), and risk methodologies such as PFMEA and DFM.
- Experience using CAD tools such as SolidWorks.
- Advanced English proficiency.
Preferred:
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Engineering Management.
- Experience supporting new product introduction or product transfer in regulated manufacturing environments.
- Experience working in regulated industries such as medical devices.
