Job Purpose

The Manufacturing Engineer Intern at Bren-Tronics, part of EnerSys and a manufacturer of advanced power solutions, assist Manufacturing Engineer on any designated projects or processes by supporting design, assembly and validation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in prototype assemblies and early production build of new products.
  • Direct support in the preparation of detailed fixture and process design, design validation and prototype fabrication or assembly.
  • Participate in fixture and process design discussions, conduct feasibility and time studies, and validate new and modified fixtures or process.
  • Participate in generating and maintaining CAD data within the configuration control process, facilitate in releasing CAD data and generating ECNs for new and legacy products through document control system.
  • Maintain tools and work environment for optimal performance and safety.
  • Assists MFG Engineer in various activities and projects.

Qualifications

  • Completed 3 years of study towards a bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering bachelor’s degree
  • Previous internship experience in a project team environment is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) required
  • Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
