    Position Overview

    Become a critical part of building and forming new Software Engineering Scrum teams joining the Building Design Product Line Group. You will be central to our success - a collaborator who bridges business needs and engineering requirements by being responsible for team performance and individual development and growth of your staff.  

     

    We are looking for a strong leader, communicator with a balance of people management, technical knowledge, and project leadership skills. If you have led agile team(s) in a scaled agile environment, know how to nurture talent, develop/advocate best practices, foster open communication, and provide guidance and mentoring to effective and high-performing teams to deliver high-quality solutions to their customers.  

     

    You will report to the Senior Software Development Manager. 

     

    The position is based in our Krakow office, employing a hybrid working model, and involves collaboration with globally dispersed stakeholders. 

     

    Responsibilities 

    • Work with your team to help understand requirements, evaluate new features, and help drive technology roadmap decisions. 

    • Proactively engage with customers and Autodesk stakeholders to stay on top of project requirements. 

    • Drive adoption of open/inner source development models to promote collaboration across Autodesk. 

    • Collaborate with other teams to accomplish cross-organizational project goals. 

    • Play an active and critical role in hiring and onboarding your team. 

    • Plan and manage successful completion of software development releases. 

    • Manage and monitor team's performance to ensure successful project completion according to goals. 

    • Provide Professional coaching - communicating goals and expectations, fostering a feedback culture, and providing all support needed for the development of great engineers. 

    • Inspire and motivate team members to achieve maximum productivity and optimal creativity. Support each team member in their pursuit of career development. 

    • Be an evangelist of Autodesk Culture. 

    Qualifications 

    • Master's (preferred) or Bachelor's (minimum) degree in Computer Science or related technical field. 

    • 1+ years of experience in leading a team of Software engineers or similar roles or experience as a Scrum Master or similar roles 

    • Demonstrated experience in all phases of software development life cycle from analyzing the needs to delivery of working solution. 

    • Experience in managing complex software projects with multiple dependencies. 

    • Experience in enterprise level product development, delivery, and agile practices. 

    • Experience in hiring and onboarding. 

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate goals, provide feedback, and foster a positive team culture, including business professional level proficiency in English.
