Our Collins Aerospace Cedar Rapids, Iowa based Advanced Manufacturing Applications & Visualizations Team is looking for a dynamic Senior Software Engineer to work on application development and enterprise level product scaling within the context of an Agile team environment. As a Senior Software Engineer in our organization, you will have the opportunity to work on all phases of the software development life cycle using Agile software development practices, while developing innovative capabilities for new and existing software applications in support of product design and manufacturing operations at Collins Aerospace.
This individual will ideally work in close proximity to our Cedar Rapids, IA location but can potentially sit at any Collins Aerospace domestic location or remote.
Actively participate in Peer reviews, Agile sprint reviews, User stories refinement and demos
Support proof of concept functionality within an existing web application by providing creative solutions to combine mixed data sources and intuitive visual summaries
Identifies and advocates improvement to processes, tools, and technical solutions which affect the team and/or product.
Ensuring code meets requirements
Creating and executing tests
Supporting product integration
Collaborating and working with peers
Demonstrating feature prototypes to internal customers
Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience. In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must be willing and able to travel 10% of the time
Experience with full stack web development, relational databases, web API interfacing and data scrubbing.
Experience with Python
Experience with AWS, Docker/containers, DevOps C#
Desire to successfully work in a Agile team environment, establishing collaborative relationships with coworkers in person and through technology.
Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
Should be driven to provide their best solution and confident enough to voice critique and suggestions.
