DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Production Associate - Level I to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Cummins Inc. facility in Rocky Mount, NC.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Strengthening a safe workplace by recognizing hazards, stopping work when necessary, and consistently following all HSE standards and protective equipment requirements.
  • Supporting a culture of environmental responsibility by understanding how daily tasks affect the environment and taking action to reduce negative impacts.
  • Protecting product quality by following standard work, performing inspections, and quickly escalating issues that could affect cost, performance, or customer satisfaction.
  • Preventing defects from reaching customers by identifying, containing, and addressing nonconforming materials during production.
  • Delivering reliable output by operating manual and automated equipment to meet engineering standards, cycle times, and customer expectations.
  • Keeping operations running smoothly through routine housekeeping, machine cleaning, and planned operator care tasks that maintain equipment health.
  • Contributing to team efficiency by communicating clearly, collaborating with peers and support staff, and helping identify equipment that needs repair.
  • Growing your capability and the team’s performance by completing required training and actively participating in continuous improvement efforts across safety, quality, and workflow.

RESPONSIBILITIES

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Communicating clearly in different formats—spoken, written, or visual—so every audience understands expectations, updates, and issues without confusion.

  • Staying adaptable and open to new ways of working so you can contribute to continuous improvement in quality, safety, and workflow.

Education:

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations. 

Experience:

Minimal or no work experience required.
