About the Role:
The primary role of Senior Manager/Associate Director is responsible to develop and close new business, sales generation in Hong Kong and Macau for complex institutional and pension accounts.
This will involve developing new leads, preparing RFPs, giving presentations to prospective clients, ensuring client and prospects receive full and efficient service and promotes products managed by our office and to extend to other offices within the Group.
Looking for highly motivated candidate with solid industry connection as well as knowledge, who will be able to identify and source deals and to handle the entire Sales process.
Responsibilities of the role:
- Develop new Institutional & Pension business opportunities in Hong Kong and Macau with key prospects, clients and to liaise with related consultants.
- Identify potential clients, to manage preparation of presentations, to follow up with the client contacts from sales of investment services to deal close.
- Evaluate on detailed analysis such as asset liabilities, data research and analysis, investment risk return profile, etc. in particular for pension and insurance clients.
- Develop in-depth knowledge of Institutional clients, understand their business needs and to effectively assist them in decision making process.
- Partner with regional and global investment centers to shape the core offerings (traditional long-only strategies, alternatives, multi-assets, insurance solutions, passively managed instruments & indexing capabilities) to cater for different client needs to maximize growth.
- Generate ideas and tactics, and to coordinate with RFP team to develop innovative responses for the deals.
- Contribute ideas for new products which will be suitable to the markets and business segments assigned.
- Achieve activity statistics for the region.
- Lead or participate in other ad-hoc projects as assigned.
- Maintains good relationship with all internal stakeholders whilst to understand and to cater for client needs.
- Contribution in helping the team to reach the leadership position objective with the right optimal approach to meet the needs of Invesco as well as to the clienteles.
- Ensure that procedures and compliance requirements are compiled.
Requirement for the Role:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent – preferably in Finance or Investments related.
- Relevant professional licenses of the Asset Management industry.
- At least 6+ years of total relevant working experience
- Deep knowledge and experience of Institutional clients in Hong Kong and Macau.
- Strong experience within Insurance segment is a plus
- Able to think strategically and out-of-the-box
- Creative in coming up with new ideas in response to prospects’ needs
- Experience in servicing clients and dealing with sophisticated institutional clients at a senior level
- Good time management skills
- Well organized and results focused
- Ability to multi-task across strategic and tactical work tasks
- Accurate, articulate, presentable and showing initiative
