DESCRIPTION

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

• Work as part of a highly skilled team to deliver rebuilt engines using multiple types of equipment
• Cleaning, painting, and polishing of engines and associated components
• Providing support to technicians
• Maintain work area and tools for cleanliness and remove any hazards
• Ensure adherence to all relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures, and legislation and report any issues / incidents to your supervisor
• Assist with completing required documentation, such as work completed documentation and time sheets via handwritten forms or business system input screens

RESPONSIBILITIES

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

• Previous experience as a Trade Assistant is highly desirable – ideally with a mechanical aptitude
• A current Forklift ticket is preferred
• Current & valid drivers’ license required
• Ability to follow repetitive systems/procedures in a labour-intensive environment
• Be able to work as part of a team and follow instructions

Qualifications for internal candidates

Provide high quality and efficient support to a team of mechanics, rebuilding a variety of engines.

Be able to move between jobs, depending on workload and customer timeframes

Previous experience in a mechanical workshop is desirable.

Tooling and uniform provided.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:

Requires some work experience or intermediate level knowledge obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

Power and hand tool experience desirable
