DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Maintenance Support Specialist -Electrician to join our team specializing in Facilities for our Cummins Inc. facility in Maxton, NC .

Job Summary:

Services, supports, and maintains electrical equipment within the determined location. Performs electrical preventative maintenance on equipment. Performs activities under minimal supervision.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

• Proactive Planning: Evaluating reactive work for safety issues and planning projects with safety as a priority helps prevent accidents and ensures smooth operations.

• Expert Diagnosis: Diagnosing malfunctioning electrical and control systems accurately allows for quick and effective problem resolution, minimizing downtime.

• Supporting Customer Needs: Utilizing your knowledge of plant electrical distribution to support customer needs ensures efficient and reliable service delivery.

• Efficient Work Management: Using software to track, assign, and prioritize maintenance work helps in managing tasks effectively and maintaining organized workflows.

• Cross-Functional Repairs: Performing work cross-functionally and making repairs within your capability enhances team collaboration and operational efficiency.

• Training and Mentorship: Training apprentices and other technicians in electrical repairs and troubleshooting fosters skill development and knowledge sharing within the team.

• Quality and Improvement: Participating in the maintenance of quality procedures and leading improvement projects ensures high standards and continuous enhancement of electrical systems.

• Facilities Maintenance and Operation: Assess the condition of the facility, manage operations and maintenance activities, and develop asset management systems. Ensure the facility operates efficiently by managing occupant services and maintaining critical systems like electrical distribution and HVAC.

• Technical Skills: Troubleshoot, repair, and install electrical and HVAC systems to ensure the facility operates properly. Your technical expertise will be essential for maintaining a safe and functional environment.

• Valuing Differences: Recognize and appreciate the value that different perspectives and cultures bring to the organization. Embracing diversity will foster a more inclusive and innovative workplace.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

• High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

Experience:

• Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.
