We are looking for a Commodities Structuring Associate to join our team in our Budapest office. Upon joining successful candidates will be provided comprehensive training on the Commodities market. This involves ideating and implementing initiatives around new client solutions across structured finance, trading risk management strategies, pricing and capital frameworks and taking ownership of the execution process
Structurers are responsible for modelling transactions and analysing risks (market, credit, capital, operational), negotiating client confirmations and legal documentation, booking trades and coordination with second line functions (strats, operations, credit, valuation control, legal, finance). We work across all the commodities that Morgan Stanley trades – power, gas, oil, base metals, precious metals and agricultural and environmental products.

You will:
Model existing and design new commodities structured finance transactions, as well as derivatives
Provide an in-depth understanding of client credit risks and work with various functions to understand the accounting, tax, capital and market risk impacts of transactions.
Perform pricing analysis and coordinate with strats, trading and other relevant groups to help position the firm to win client mandates.
Analyze and engineer a variety of financial products across the credit spectrum;
Use third party and proprietary platforms to optimize deal structures;
Collaborate on various projects with different functions in London.
You have:
BSc or MSc quantitative/finance degree (e.g. finance, economics, financial mathematics, and engineering);
2-3 years of relevant work experience;
Strong analytical and numerical skills and experience with financial data;
Computer Skills: confident user of Excel, some coding experience is a plus (e.g. VBA, Python);
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English;
Excellent problem-solving and strong interpersonal skills.
