- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 7 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), consulting, or a related function, or an advanced degree.

As someone who knows the workings of the core Finance team inside and out, you'll lead individual projects to transform planning, tracking and control processes. You'll provide senior level management with insightful recommendations, planning and reporting support.
Technical Infrastructure (TI) is the foundation of Google - global data centers, networks and integrated hardware/software power our unique customer products and services and support internal operations.
This leadership role is part of the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) function and provides financial and analytical insights and business planning support to the Technical Infrastructure team with a focus on AI/ML investments. In this critical role, you will be leading to dissect complex problems, deliver insights, drive ML efficiency and help leaders throughout the business make critical strategic and resource allocation decisions and strike the right balance with risk management and controls.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $132,000-$196,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. - Develop a deep understanding of Google’s technical infrastructure and economics behind the significant investments needed to support AI/ML demand.
- Perform benchmark analysis and end-to-end operational assessments to identify efficiency opportunities. Structure and execute insightful analysis on investment recommendations, communicate findings and guide senior management decision making.
- Lead complex strategic initiatives in partnership with TI Finance and cross-functional teams to guide Google’s ML footprint and balance the requirements of the business while delivering capacity cost-effectively.
- Help develop and implement processes, tools and governance to drive ML analytics with consistency across TI Finance and flexibility to adapt to individual team needs.
- Cultivate strong relationships and collaboration across numerous touch points with all TI leadership, TI Finance leadership, cross-functional Finance, Systems and Engineering teams.
