We are now looking for a HR Operations Team Lead at Hitachi Energy in Vaasa, Finland. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and efficient end to end employee lifecycle processes including payroll processing. You will be expected to actively carry out operational activities together with the rest of the team and oversee the day-to-day operations, coordinating and supporting as well as processing.
Your technical expertise will play a key role in optimizing current integrations, systems and processes and resolving system-related challenges. This role combines both hands-on operational responsibility and the team coordination with a focus on ensuring compliance and continuous improvement across HR and Payroll. You’ll collaborate closely with your HR Operations team, ensuring flawless service delivery and supporting the broader HR function and other key stakeholders.

How you’ll make an impact
- Oversee and execute end to end HR, payroll and time processes, ensuring timely, accurate data. You will handle complex adjustments and ensure that all processes meet local regulatory requirements and internal rules, policies and processes, including payroll controls.
- Maintain compliance with legislative regulations and stay up to date with changes in tax, social security, and labor laws and local CBA’s ensuring that all activities adhere to local requirements.
- Generate reporting and provide data-driven insights to support internal decision-making and identifying trends or areas for improvement.
- Identify, implement and continuously explore process improvements within HR Operations.
- Effectively communicate and be able to both support and drive change management.
- You have experience working with HRIS systems and understand how to manage systems and interfaces.
- You’re able to explain complex matters and contract details in a simple and approachable manner, ensuring clarity and trust in your communications.
- You are a strong collaborator, comfortable working with both internal HR teams and external suppliers to resolve issues and enhance HR services.
Your background
- Master's or Bachelor’s degree in HR, Economics or related fields
- Strong experience in HR Operation and /or HR Project management
- Strong experience in HR systems (e.g., ADP, Workday, SAP)
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to deal with complex organization.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills both in Finnish and English.
- Readiness to learn quickly and adapt to changing environment.
- Ability to move in an international environment and balancing different stakeholders.
