Job Details

This is a management position that contributes and achieves results through others. The role is responsible for managing subordinates in professional jobs or managing through subordinate managers / supervisors or is a leader of process that achieves results through others, whom are not direct reports. The job requires professional knowledge gained through substantial applicable work experience, to supplement formal knowledge, in order to apply principles and concepts of own discipline in resolving issues as they arrive. The job has full management of a team, including management of people, defining roles and responsibilities, planning for the department's future needs and operations, counselling employees on performance and contributing to employee pay decisions or changes. This job typically requires a degree or equivalent and a minimum of 6 or more years experience.

Main objective / purpose of the role:

Core objective of this position are

- Lead and own core financial governance areas, including tax compliance, statutory accounting, internal controls, and inventory accounting, while ensuring full comliance with logal regulations and global policies

- Act as the primary liaison with internal and external stakeholders to drive effective risk management, operational excellence, and financial integrity

Critical success factors / key deliverables:

Main responsibilities are but not limited to:

Tax Governance & Compliance

  • Lead and oversee the Corporate Income Tax (CIT), and Transfer Pricing
  • Own the preparation of APA/ACVA annual report
  • Manage BEPS reporting and Country-by-Country Reporting (CbCR)
  • Perform Source P&L review
  • Coordinate with stakeholders: APAC Tax & Technical Accounting, external consultatns, etc.

Statutory Accounting & Audit Management

  • Lead statutory accounting process, including interim and year-end external audits
  • Own the preparation and review of statutory financial statements in accordance with local GAAP and US GAAP requirements
  • Lead internal audits and remediation action plans
  • Coordinate with stakeholders: external auditors, Hong Kong Finance Center, CapGemini, etc.

Internal Controls & Governance

  • Own and maintain the Risk & Control Matrix (RCM) documentation
  • Oversee control testing and certification
  • Identify control gaps and drive remediation plans in partnership with process owners
  • Ensure full compliance with global internal control guidedance
  • Coordinate with stakeholders: Global Internal Control, APAC, control owners

Inventory & Loaner Instrument Accounting

  • Own internal procedures and operations of inventory and loaner instruments
  • Lead coordination with Ops to ensure count execution per annual count plan and internal guidance
  • Resolve Goods-in-Transit (GIT) and any identified issues with Ops, Planning, and CapGemini

Others

  • Support ad-hoc analysis and projects upon request

Academic qualifications / degree & relevant prior experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (Finance/Accounting related major)
  • Strong communication & teamwork skills
  • Strong presentation skill
  • Good command of English communication (Reading/Writing/Speaking)
  • At least 7 years of progressive Finance experience prefered
  • Good understanding of USGAAP and/or IFRS required
  • Good command of Excel/business system handling
  • Proficiency in project management in various area
  • Continuous improvement mindset
  • Team-First mindset
