Job Details

The Patient Handling Product Manager is responsible for leading the strategic planning, commercialization, and lifecycle management of Stryker’s Patient Handling portfolio across the Canadian market. This role partners closely with Sales, Clinical, Medical Education, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Contracts, and U.S. upstream teams to drive sustainable growth while advancing safe patient handling, mobility, and caregiver injury prevention across acute care environments.

The Product Manager translates market insights, customer workflows, and clinical evidence into clear value propositions, go-to-market strategies, and high-impact marketing programs that address the realities of patient movement, staff safety, and operational efficiency. As a trusted subject-matter expert, this role enables confident sales execution, effective training, and meaningful customer engagement—strengthening Stryker’s leadership in patient mobility solutions that protect both patients and caregivers.

This position is located in Canada. The preferred candidate will be located near the Waterdown, Canada Stryker location and work a hybrid schedule (1 day a week in office required).

What you will do

  • Develop and execute the Annual Marketing Plan (AMP) for the Patient Handling portfolio, translating Canadian market dynamics, competitive insights, and customer needs into clear growth strategies, priorities, and KPIs.

  • Build deep customer insight across safe patient handling and mobility workflows, including patient transfers, caregiver ergonomics, capital utilization, and total cost of ownership in acute care settings.

  • Lead competitive assessment within the Patient Handling space, continuously monitoring alternatives and emerging technologies to inform positioning, portfolio strategy, and go-to-market decisions.

  • Design and execute integrated marketing and channel strategies that drive adoption, utilization, and standardization of Patient Handling solutions across key customer segments.

  • Act as the subject-matter expert for Patient Handling products, enabling sales teams through training, tools, and customer-facing education focused on patient safety and caregiver injury prevention.

  • Partner closely with Sales, Clinical, and Medical Education to align messaging and training that supports frontline execution and confident customer engagement.

  • Track and report portfolio performance through dashboards and KPIs, providing leadership visibility into AMP progress, growth drivers, risks, and opportunities.

  • Support portfolio and financial decision-making, including pricing strategy, margin management, demand planning, and business case development for Patient Handling solutions.

What You Need

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Minimum 4 years of professional experience

Preferred:

  • MBA

  • Minimum 2 years of commercial medical device or healthcare experience

  • Experience with capital equipment portfolios

$83,900 – $111,800 salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
