Skills and Competencies

  • 5–8 years’ relationship management or customer‑facing experience within financial services.· Fluency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin; strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Solid understanding of credit and market dynamics across Greater China and the broader APAC region
  • Strong negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder‑management capabilities, including with senior leaders
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, collaborate across regional teams, and lead client meetings
  • Experience planning and executing marketing or client engagement events
  • Quick learner with the ability to articulate Moody’s products and value proposition; strong ownership mindset
  • Proficiency in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel) and commitment to integrating AI tools into daily workflows

Education

  •  Minimum a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a related field such as accounting, business, economics, or finance.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively manage a portfolio of Corporate and Financial Institution accounts within Southern Greater China. Implement a systematic regional outreach plan to retain existing customers and expand share of wallet by delivering tailored value propositions for core ratings and cross-selling opportunities
  • Drive broader Business Development efforts in Southern Greater China region by keeping abreast of market dynamics, identifying growth sectors and opportunities, and effectively sharing insights with peers and senior management
  • Successfully lead sophisticated commercial negotiations, formulating recommendations for tailored service strategies to respond to market driven dynamics
  • Support the Head of Relationship Management in managing the intermediary relationship with rating advisors, debt capital market and syndication teams at leading corporate investment banks and securities firms within the Asia Pacific region
  • Maintain and update the mapping of key intermediaries in Asia Pacific (ex. China), formulate and implement strategic outreach plan to these intermediaries
  • Champion Moody’s new initiatives and outreach campaigns in growth areas such as digital finance, strengthening Moody’s franchise and thought leadership
  • Actively participate in global and regional projects to drive business objectives
  • Establish and nurture relationships with other market participants, including relevant government entities, associations, and agencies

About the Team and Role 
Moody’s Commercial Group manages and grows relationships with rated entities, debt issuers, and key capital markets participants. The team plays a central role in communicating the value of Moody’s ratings, developing innovative ratings‑based solutions, and negotiating commercial terms that support successful transactions across global markets.

The Southern Greater China Relationship Management Team is seeking a professional, client‑focused relationship manager who can deliver best‑in‑class service to our portfolio of issuers and intermediaries. Based in Hong Kong, this role manages strategic client relationships in Southern Greater China, ensuring the delivery of tailored value propositions across Moody’s products and services. The position also contributes to regional intermediary engagement, supports outreach initiatives in high‑growth sectors, and participates in strategic projects that advance Moody’s commercial objectives.
