The Indirect Procurement Manager leads and manages indirect procurement operations, including PO approvals, supplier catalogues, and quick pay processes, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency across regions. This role conducts complex market, supply chain, and supplier base analysis to drive sourcing strategies and procurement excellence.

The position is responsible for executing sourcing initiatives, improving procurement processes, managing supplier relationships, and leading a team to deliver optimal cost, quality, and service outcomes. The role requires strong stakeholder engagement, data-driven decision-making, and adherence to procurement policies and ethical standards.

Key Responsibilities: Team Leadership & Operations Management

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of procurement specialists managing PO approvals, catalogues, and quick pay processes.
  • Manage team workload, track performance, and ensure adherence to SLAs and KPIs aligned with organizational goals.
  • Conduct performance reviews, training needs analysis, and capability development initiatives.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement, focusing on cycle time reduction and quality enhancement.

Procurement & PO Governance

  • Review and approve/reject PRs/POs based on compliance with procurement policies.
  • Validate supplier approval status and recommend preferred suppliers where required.
  • Ensure accurate commodity code classification aligned with corporate procurement categories.
  • Verify PR/PO structure, including pricing, documentation, and supporting quotations.
  • Ensure competitive bidding (minimum three quotes) for purchases above defined thresholds, unless exceptions apply.

Strategic Sourcing & Analysis

  • Execute sourcing strategies aligned with category/commodity plans to achieve optimal cost, quality, and delivery.
  • Conduct market, supplier, and spend analysis to identify cost-saving and value improvement opportunities.
  • Participate in category strategy development using Total Value Performance (TVP) and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) approaches.
  • Support vendor benchmarking, industry analysis, and procurement model development.

Supplier & Contract Management

  • Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships through structured Supplier Relationship Management (SRM).
  • Lead supplier selection, onboarding, and qualification processes.
  • Negotiate contracts and ensure alignment with commercial and legal requirements.
  • Monitor supplier performance and mitigate risks related to supply continuity, reputation, and cost.

Process Excellence & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
  • Identify process inefficiencies and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Document and share best practices across procurement teams.
  • Manage procurement systems and resolve operational/system-related issues proactively.

Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate with global stakeholders across functions and regions.
  • Present insights, recommendations, and improvement plans to senior leadership.
  • Balance multiple stakeholder expectations while ensuring business objectives are met.

  • Supply Risk Management: Identifies, assesses, and mitigates risks to ensure continuity and resilience of supply.
  • Inclusion & Cultural Awareness: Promotes an inclusive environment by respecting and leveraging diverse perspectives and cultures.

Skills:

  • Strong leadership, team management, and coaching abilities.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
  • Expertise in procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Ariba, Oracle, or similar platforms).
  • Proficiency in Advanced Excel, VBA, and Power BI.
  • Knowledge of Power Automate (preferred).
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Understanding of sourcing strategies, cost/value management, and supply risk mitigation.
  • Ability to manage escalations, resolve conflicts, and drive outcomes effectively.
  • Continuous improvement mindset with focus on operational excellence.
  • Spanish language skills (read/write/speak) – added advantage.

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications in Procurement/Supply Chain (preferred but not mandatory).
