We're seeking someone to join our Application and Data Engineering team as a Data Engineering Lead in Non-Financial Risk Technology to lead the team in designing, building, supporting, and developing solutions across multiple business data related initiatives.

What you’ll do in the role:

• Staff develop and lead one or more teams which are part of the department.

• Design, build, and maintain scalable and resilient data platform solutions using Big data platforms on HDFS/S3 using Apache Spark, Python, Kubernetes, and other container orchestration tools.

• Collaborate with application teams to design and deploy microservices-based architectures, focusing on scalability, performance, and reliability.

• Work closely with development teams to optimize application performance and troubleshoot production issues.

• Look to develop new solutions using GenAI.

• Communicate regularly with product leads across the technology organization and discuss opportunities for improvement to existing and future technology solutions.

What you’ll bring to the role:

• At least 12 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

• Ability to effectively manage multiple functions or guide junior staff and initiatives.

• Advanced understanding and experience in building data pipelines, data engineering and database technologies like IBM DB2, Postgres, Snowflake

• Experience in working with large datasets using a combination of technology (Big data platforms like Hadoop), storage using HDFS/S3, access using Apache Spark and open standards for lineage and identification of data

• Experience in effectively executing IT strategy, delivery and complex initiatives.

• Ability to present information in a clear and concise manner to technology and business leadership.

• Advanced understanding of business line and discipline with some knowledge of competitive environment and other disciplines.

• Advanced understanding of functional areas and competent understanding of competitive environments.

• Experience with reporting tools such as PowerBI, and Tableau.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and scripting languages like Python, Perl.
