Nightwing / Cyber Offense and Defense EXperts (CODEX) Information Technology (CODEX IT) is seeking talented DevOps engineers to assist our team with operating, developing, and improving a Network and Server/Application infrastructure environment within AWS GovCloud. We are seeking DevOps engineers with experience working in a rapidly-changing and fast paced environment working with over 20 different applications. Our team provisions and administers services and applications hosted among three distinct networks, each with its own data protection requirements, connectivity, and support model. We also support connectivity for the networks in each of the 12+ geographically disparate CODEX sites in addition to remote work from home (WFH).
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Use and develop scripts using Ansible roles, Terraform modules, Packer, Jenkins CI/CD pipelines, and Ansible Tower to provision and configure servers, services, applications, and security
Setup and maintain applications in AWS GovCloud, utilizing Dev/Production environments
Setup and maintain local site applications on VMware ESXi servers, utilizing connectivity with AWS applications to extend service availability and provide local access
Configure and manage networking equipment to enable intra- and inter-site connectivity, including Extreme switches, Forcepoint firewalls, Cisco wireless access points
Lead technical projects, working with team members and inter-departmental groups to plan, execute, and deliver new features or capabilities
Follow best practices for disaster recovery/business continuity in server, network, and security design
Manage Linux and Windows servers, following best practices for logging, monitoring, and system maintenance
Provide expertise and support for IT Operational management of security monitoring, compliance, and auditing tools
Required Skills and Experience
6 Years of Experience in IT (Operations, Security, or Development), or DevOps
4+ Years of experience with Linux System Administration
Familiar with Windows System Administration
1+ Years of experience with networking (TCP/IP, switching, routers, firewalls, etc)
1+ Years of experience running services within AWS or another cloud provider (Azure, etc)
Architecting new services using AWS resources
Troubleshooting resources (Load balancers, Autoscaling groups, security groups)
2 Years of experience running services within VMware ESXi virtual machines
Familiarity with automation and configuration management tools to manage and deploy servers and applications (Ansible, Terraform, Packer, Puppet, Chef, Python, Bash, Powershell, etc)
Familiarity with source code management of any code/scripts/documentation used for automation
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong sense of accountability to meet work deadlines and support sprint goals
Must be a U.S Citizen
Desired Skills and Experiences
Experience developing automated solutions utilizing Ansible, Terraform, docker-compose, and Helm
Experience working with containerized applications using Docker and/or Kubernetes
Experience administering any/all of the following applications - Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, RocketChat, PexIP, Panzura, Exchange, Forcepoint SMC/NGFW, Hashicorp Vault
Experience developing CI/CD pipelines for delivery and testing of services/applications
Experience within AWS GovCloud or Raytheon MissionCloud
Professional Certifications such as: AWS Solutions Architect, AWS Developer, Linux+, Security+, CCNA
Required Education
Bachelor of Science Degree in a related engineering field; OR 6 additional years of Engineering, Computer or Information Science applicable professional experience in lieu of degree.
University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years
prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience
Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a
minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
