We are looking for an enthusiastic Placement Student - Supplier Quality to join our Europe Current Product Team team specialising in Quality for our Accelera EMobility Business segment in Milton Keynes, UK. During your placement with us, you will learn how a major global organisation operates, gaining the tools and exposure you will need to become an expert in the industry and power your potential!

This role is available to candidates who qualify for a placement year and will commence 1 July 2026.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Supplier Quality Placement Student will support the Europe Current Product Supplier Quality team in maintaining supplier performance, managing corrective actions, and ensuring supplier quality data integrity. The role will involve collaboration with cross-functional teams across Europe, US, and China to collect and validate supplier performance metrics and support supplier quality improvement initiatives.

This position provides hands-on exposure to supplier quality management, problem-solving methodologies, and global manufacturing operations.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Support the management and tracking of Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs) to ensure timely resolution.
  • Assist in reviewing supplier root cause analysis and corrective action plans using structured methodologies (e.g., 8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa).
  • Monitor open corrective actions and follow up with suppliers to ensure closure within agreed timelines.
  • Maintain documentation and records of supplier corrective actions within internal quality systems.
  • Support the collection, consolidation, and validation of supplier performance data for European suppliers.
  • Work with cross-functional teams in Europe, the US, and China to obtain supplier performance metrics.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of data before publication to the EU Supplier Quality Team Leader and Regional Supplier Quality Leader.
  • Assist in the preparation of supplier scorecards and quality performance reports.
  • Assist with low-level PPAP reviews and approvals in accordance with internal procedures.
  • Support supplier quality engineers with investigations related to non-conforming material.
  • Help track containment actions and support supplier improvement activities.
  • Support communication and coordination with suppliers regarding quality performance and improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in identifying trends in supplier performance data and support improvement projects.
  • Support initiatives aimed at improving supplier quality processes and reporting systems.

QUALIFICATIONS

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Currently studying towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, or a related technical discipline.
  • You must be eligible to complete a 12-month placement.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to interact with international teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and track progress across several suppliers.
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly when working with performance data.
