DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Skilled Technician - Level II to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Cummins Inc. facility in Henderson, CO.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

• Ensure Safety: By promptly reporting hazards, using appropriate personal protective equipment, and complying with HSE standards, you’ll help maintain a safe working environment and promote interdependence among colleagues.

• Promote Health Standards: Your adherence to HSE policies and active participation in training will contribute to a healthier and safer workplace.

• Enhance Quality: Applying high standards of workmanship, performing quality inspections, and supporting equipment failure analysis will help maintain equipment uptime and minimize cost and quality exposures.

• Improve Efficiency: By selecting and using appropriate tools and machinery, and performing preventive, emergency, corrective, and predictive maintenance, you’ll ensure smooth and efficient production processes.

• Support Teamwork: Effective communication with your team and support staff will foster a collaborative and productive work environment. Your role as a formal resource will help develop less experienced team members.

• Adaptability: Your ability to quickly and effectively adapt to changes in the manufacturing environment will help meet production goals and address any unexpected challenges.

• Problem Solving: Working with peers and support staff to identify and reduce manufacturing constraints, solve problems, and improve processes will contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

• Environmental Responsibility: Recognizing and minimizing the environmental impact of your work will contribute to the company’s sustainability efforts and ensure compliance with environmental standards.

Education/ Experience:

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Minimal or no work experience required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Core Responsibilities:

Assist in production of sheet metal fabrication parts by operating press brake, shear, and plasma table

Keep track of sheet metal inventory usage

Comply with all sheet metal fabrication and general in-shop safety requirements

Operate PIV (forklift) to move and handle sheet metal

Skills, Education, and/or Experience Required:

Read a tape measure

Interpret shop drawings

Operate forklifts

Skills, Education, and/or Experience Preferred:

CNC Press Brake

Plasma Table

Hydraulic Shear

Forklift

Welding

NO DOT Required for this role.
