The Senior Manager, Talent Management is a key position within T. Rowe Price’s Talent Management & Organizational Effectiveness team responsible for developing and executing strategies to strengthen the firm’s talent pipeline. As Senior Manager, Talent Management, you will partner with our Human Resources business partner teams and business leaders to identify and develop a robust, diverse talent pipeline and maintain an enterprise pulse on global talent needs. Through analysis of talent data, you will document and present the story that illustrates our strengths and flags our areas of opportunity for our most senior leaders. You will accelerate the growth of senior leaders by ideating and facilitating solutions through partnership with the Leadership & Career Development and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion teams. This position follows a hybrid work model with 3 days/ week and flexibility for 2 days remote and can be based in our DC office with occasional travel to Baltimore or based in our Baltimore office.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Consult with HR business partner teams and business leaders to align talent strategies with business and regional needs.
Identify common talent needs across the organization to inform strategic priorities in alignment with overarching Talent strategy. Consult with business partners on specific talent needs.
Enhance current enterprise talent review and succession strategies, processes, and tools based upon internal and external best practices and research with a focus on impact and outcomes.
Partner with our Business leaders, HR Business Partners, DE&I Partners, and Talent COEs to identify a diverse pipeline of leaders firmwide, within BUs and within regions.
Evaluate talent mobility impacts and costs, select vendors, and implement effective programs and tools for accelerating successor readiness.
Identify data needs and metrics on overall talent health and leverage metrics to glean insights from data. Tell a story through the data and suggest actions, influence decisions based on insights.
Partner with HR Data & Analytics team to inform reporting and dashboard needs.
Create presentations and other materials to tell a data-based story that explains impact and value to senior leadership, executives, and board of directors.
Conduct external research and benchmarks on talent management best practices; stay current on business/industry trends.
Lead efforts to optimize operational efficiency of our processes and programs, ensuring clear accountability and documentation.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND 8+ years of total relevant work experience
Experience designing, implementing, and overseeing governance of global talent processes
Experience developing and managing programs for diverse populations (e.g., rotation programs)
Strong Project Management skills and ability to drive results with minimal oversight
Demonstrated skill in rolling out processes to HR Business partners and leaders, leveraging change management best practices
Proficiency in analyzing data and leveraging insights from multiple sources to develop recommendations and make decisions (e.g., Workday reports exported to Microsoft Excel)
Demonstrated ability to use data to tell stories in written form (e.g., PowerPoint)
Preferred:
Excellent communication & interpersonal skills - ability to effectively interact and influence at all levels and with a geographically diverse team
Financial services industry experience
Familiarity/experience with Visier
Practical mindset to leverage expertise and best practices to develop and roll out processes and tools that the business can easily adapt to and utilize
Demonstrated expertise in talent management best practices
Strong consultative, partnership and influencing skills, including the ability to lead change.
Open, inclusive, and flexible mindset

FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role.
Work Flexibility
This role is eligible for hybrid work, with up to two days per week from home.
Base salary ranges:
$132,000.00 - $225,000.00 for the location of: California, New York$116,000.00 - $198,000.00 for the location of: Washington, D.C
$105,500.00 - $180,000.00 for the location of: Colorado, Maryland, Washington and all other US locations
Placement within the range provided above is based on the individual’s relevant experience and skills for the role. Base salary is only one component of our total compensation package. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon company and individual performance.
