We are looking for a talented West & North Africa Strategic Mining Accounts Manager -Mandarin Speaking to join our team specializing in Sales for our Distribution Business Unit in Accra, Ghana.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Drive sustainable revenue and profit growth by developing and executing effective account strategies for large, complex, and cross‑regional customer portfolios.
- Strengthen and expand customer relationships at all levels by deeply understanding customer business models, industry language, and buying processes.
- Increase Cummins’ share of the customer’s wallet by identifying current and emerging needs and aligning solutions to deliver measurable customer value.
- Influence customer decision‑making by translating complex data into clear, compelling value propositions for Cummins products and solutions.
- Lead end‑to‑end account management, including contract negotiation, issue resolution, and escalation management to ensure strong financial and operational outcomes.
- Champion the voice of the customer internally by coordinating across sales roles, business units, and key stakeholders to deliver aligned, customer‑centric solutions.
- Improve customer satisfaction, loyalty, and long‑term partnerships by measuring performance, implementing targeted improvement initiatives, and driving continuous account growth.
- Develop high‑performing sales and account teams by modeling the Cummins Sales Process, mentoring talent, and enabling consistent forecasting, reporting, and execution excellence.
RESPONSIBILITIES
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Ability to translate complex technical and commercial information into clear, audience‑appropriate insights that enable understanding, retention, and informed decision‑making.
- Strong capability in developing and executing account strategies, balancing customer needs with business priorities to define achievable growth targets aligned to overall strategy.
- Proven skill in integrating the customer perspective, using deep insight into customer needs, behaviors, and buying journeys to shape compelling sales content and tailored solutions.
- Expertise in sales forecasting and pipeline management, using data, diagnostics, and proactive planning to assess pipeline health, adjust strategies, and consistently deliver sales objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/ Experience:
- Fluency in Mandarin is a mandatory requirement for this role.
- College, university, or equivalent degree in Marketing, Sales, technical or a related subject or an acceptable combination of education and experience required.
- Significant level of relevant work experience required, including previous customer and/or product experience required. Purchasing/commercial contract negotiation preferred.
