We are looking for a talented Maintenance Skilled Technician - Level III - 3rd shift to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Cummins Inc. facility in North Charleston, SC.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Support manufacturing performance by performing skilled maintenance and technical activities that directly enable safe, reliable, and efficient production operations.
- Improve equipment reliability and uptime by correctly selecting and using tools, machinery, and specialty equipment, and by contributing insights to preventive and failure analysis processes.
- Maintain a strong safety culture by stopping work for unsafe conditions, reporting hazards and incidents, following HSE standards, and modeling safe behaviors for others.
- Deliver high-quality workmanship by completing work in accordance with drawings, manuals, specifications, and quality procedures, while proactively identifying risks to cost and quality.
- Strengthen maintenance effectiveness by performing and documenting preventive, corrective, emergency, and predictive maintenance activities that support production goals.
- Reduce waste and environmental impact by recognizing how daily work affects the environment and taking action to minimize negative outcomes.
- Elevate team capability by working independently when needed, coaching others, and serving as a knowledgeable resource to less experienced team members.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by collaborating with peers and support teams to remove constraints, solve problems, participate in TPM efforts, and complete required training and development.

Education/Experience
- High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
- This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
- Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training, or on-the-job experience.
QUALIFICATIONS
Additional Information
- Multi-Craft preferred with High mechanical aptitude.
- Electrical Aptitude with hands-on experience is a plus.
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced technical environment.
- Solid understanding of safety system devices and robot safety cells; knowledge of Fanuc robots is a strong asset.
- Experience with industrial washing and blasting equipment is preferred.
- Familiarity with CNC equipment (including Okuma, Haas, and Fanuc controls) is a plus.
- Proficient in electrical troubleshooting, including reading and interpreting electrical drawings, schematics, and PLC logic.
- Exposure to Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), particularly IBM Maximo, is advantageous.
