Job Summary:
Coordinates facilities changes and improvements; maintains relationships with various suppliers and vendors of services provided to the facility; communicates changes and improvements to affected facility occupants. Performs activities under moderate supervision.
We are looking for a talented CDL Class A Driver / Facilities Technician to join our business in (Henderson, CO).
Will make an impact in the following ways:
• Maintain safe work habits in all daily tasks and ensure safety is prioritized in reactive, planned, and preventative maintenance work
• Assist in diagnosing malfunctioning systems, equipment, and components using test equipment and hand tools
• Perform basic repairs and maintenance activities within assigned capability and training level
• Utilize maintenance and building management software to track, assign, and prioritize reactive, planned, preventative, and predictive work
• Follow manufacturer-recommended preventative maintenance schedules and startup procedures
• Communicate effectively with assigned teams, support teams, and customers regarding technical work and projects
• Perform work in a variety of conditions, including extreme heat, cold, moisture, and confined spaces
• Attend required classroom, on-site, and off-site training programs (travel may be required)
• Participate in continuous improvement projects and apply basic problem-solving techniques individually and in team environments
RESPONSIBILITIES
In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Ability to work safely and follow established safety procedures at all times
- Willingness to learn and develop technical skills in facilities maintenance, HVAC, electrical, or mechanical systems
- Basic understanding of facility systems and equipment gained through education, training, or work experience
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly to team members and customers
- Commitment to ongoing self-development and completion of apprenticeship or regional training program requirements
- Requires some relevant work experience or intermediate level knowledge obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.
- CDL Class A with Passenger endorsement required.
- Ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and have experience with inventory and warehouse/logistic processes.
- Must be able to physically lift 50 pounds occasionally, wear required personal protective equipment
- Ability to maintain a neat and clean appearance at Customer sites and Cummins Facilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
The primary function of this role is a Delivery Driver, including but not limited to; daily driving to/from Customer sites, coordinating with Facilities and Customers to schedule deliveries/pick ups, road tests, etc.
Key Responsibilities
- Under minimal supervision, partner with Customers, Facilities, Contractors and others to provide support, scheduling and coordination for facility-related projects.
- Perform other duties as needed within Parts, Warehouse and Facilities that may include managing stock levels, shipping and receiving parts, warehouse activities, inventory management related tasks, core processing or other related duties as assigned by management.
- Actively participate in ways to improve job responsibilities (including self-improvement and processes) while promoting and implementing best practices.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships by communicating with internal and external customers by phone and in person at local branches.
- Parts and Service hot shot runs
- Fleet vehicle DOT and Pm tracking and scheduling with vendors
- Fleet vehicle damage scheduling and tracking of vendor repairs.
- Assisting with building HSE compliance tasks daily, weekly, and monthly inspections.
DOT
- A current valid CDL is required for this role.
- This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free of major violations
- This role is subject to Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) drug and alcohol testing requirements and on going random drug and alcohol testing
- This role requires applicant to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical
- This role is subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) driving regulations including Hours of Service and Electronic Log Booking Device use
- Federal law requires operators of commercial vehicles to be 21 years of age or older, applicant must be 21 years of age
Education, Licenses, and Certifications:
• High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education, or equivalent experience
• Must meet the minimum educational requirements to begin the apprenticeship or regional program
• Must pass all required testing associated with the program
Experience:
• Some relevant work experience or intermediate-level knowledge obtained through education, training, or on-the-job experience

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
